Force Vehicle Skin Color

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Quick question. With many skins that I have downloaded, they are essentially left colorless, so that the player may choose their own color in-game. I get that, but this leaves the AI spawning with randomly colored vehicles. So my question is... Is there a way that I can force all of the AI to use the same color for a skin? Am I able to color the skin myself (and if so how)? I'd appreciate any info on this topic. Thank you in any case, and have a wonderful day.

I believe that you have to color them yourself, because the carvariations method I have experimented with does not work with LSPDFRs backup system (last time I tested it). To change the color of the skin you can just download paint.net, open the skin, create a new layer and then drag that layer to the bottom of the layer list (in the bottom right) and color it whatever color you want, then merge the layers and save as a png. If you don't merge the layer it will save as a pdn. If you need any clarification just ask me.

As for the carvariations way, it may have changed with the LSPDFR backup since I tested it, but I'm not sure. Heres a video about how to do it if you want to try it:

Thanks buddy. Using Paint.net is exactly what I needed.
