I've been a long time fan of GTA. I've got GTA on both PS3 and PS4. I read about this site in a comment review of another game I was looking into and after watching many videos and reading, I decided to download GTA on my PC for the sole purpose of LSPDFR. I still have a few hours to go until GTAV is completely downloaded onto my PC, but my main question is what are the minimum programs I need, and what is also recommended to add-on. I have already downloaded the Rage application, LSPDFR 031, and Traffic Policer 6.13.6.3 by Albo1125. I've seen several videos with very nice looking squad cars. Is that something that is included with any of the files I already have? I'm not a big fan of the few car designs in the game, so that is also something I am looking for. Is there anything else that anyone recommends me looking into? Thank you ahead of time for any guidance. If anyone has any questions of me, feel free to ask.

hello killer and welcome! in my head, the minimums would have to include Traffic Policer, Smart Radio, Assorted Callouts, LSPDFR+, Arrest Manager. With those you can have a decent patrol and get a few callouts. As you become more comfortable installing things, then there are literally hundreds of things you can install. the best piece of advice i can give you, and trust me if you dont heed it you will regret it, MAKE A BACKUP COPY of your game! immediately!

 

Installing these games  takes patience and know how so if you delete just one file incorrectly, you may have to re install GTA completely. so please take your time, make a backup copy, and if you need any help post before you chance messing your game up :D welcome to the forum and great to have you!

Well make sure that you get rage plugin hook - script hook V - script hook V do net - and the rest wil probably be with downloads, I recommend getting all of albo's mods practically lspdfr+, police computer, the rest of his being brand new I'd suggest you go watch a tutorial video and I think Jeff Favingo has a tutorial video and a list of mods that are good for starts there, MAKE BACKUPS - simple things can ruin your hole game and there are usually no error messages to help.

I agree completely. I wouldn't worry a ton about cars until you are comfortable with mjust doing the basic plugins and such.

Thank you for the input. I'm pretty familiar with adding files to mod games. This will just be the first time doing it with GTA. I usually do create backup, so I've got that covered. I suppose I am just having a hard time navigating on what files I need to download and which ones I don't. I've noticed that a lot of things say ELS compatible but have been unable to figure out what ELS is on here. I just want to make sure that whatever I do download, I have everything for such. Usually I just randomly find things I like, add them into the game and see what I can do. However, upon learning about this site, I was pretty excited since I've done this on my own since the beginning of my GTA experience, pretending to pull over cars, try to help the local police when I see them chasing someone, which as everyone knows, can go array  extremely quick. Then off I go trying to steal another cop car and not wreck it and such, which brings another question to mind. I've noticed most people have a setting to reset there damage to the car. Is that a developer thing, or something else I can get?

Where can I find the Script Hook downloads? I've already got Rage. Also, is there a way to search for a user and only see their uploads?

To clarify, the folders and everything I start to edit, can't I just make a copy of those? or is it better to copy to entire GTAV folder and files and store the original on my external HD?

 

   Get the simple trainer, looks like the one from GTA IV, or in ragehook console you can type "repaircar" I think cars that use ELS usually have [ELS] in there name, check out ELS V5 I think for gta 5, it's probably on the front page.

i would make a copy of the complete game. just because you NEVER know what will happen. one day i was deleting a script from the game and accidentally highlighted a random file and deleted it too..and it took me four hours to figure that out.

What do you mean by the simple trainer? Also, is ELS another Mod I need to get, or does it come with the vehicle?

Else is a separate mod you must get, trainer is  a trainer, kinda like a cheat tool but very useful you can set weather, weapons no, time teleport and much more it's in gta5mods.com
