The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Avoiding Rockstar update?

Featured Replies

I know some may say to look at some thread but my circumstances are different

Right now I'm not at home I am on holiday and therefore I hadn't been on my PC in a week. When I come home on Thursday if the new Script Hook is not released can I simply turn my internet off and then launch the game? I did make a backup, but last time it wouldnt work, Rage plugin hook would just close as soon as it launched the game. Would that backup work? I am running RPH 0.49. Many thanks

You can play on previous GTA V, RPH, and script hook V versions.

As long as you don't have the latest GTA V update, you are fine and can play LSPDFR.

Won't I get it if I go online? Any idea when new Script Hook will come out. Should my backup work?

With online play, you will need the latest version. But you can play LSPDFR at least.

Script hook should be out in the next 2-5 days most likely.

Thanks. So can I simply turn the internet of when I want to play, then once I have finished, exit steam and turn the internet on? That way steam cant download the update in the background? Thanks for your swift response

It will download it when you turn the internet on. I'd suggest duplicating the GTA V directory, having one fully updated for GTA Online and one for LSPDFR only and switch around the names as RAGEPluginHook will only work if the root directory is called "Grand Theft Auto V". If you go with the duplication way, make sure when you're about to load up LSPDFR, you turn your internet off and when you're done, change the root to something like me. I have "Grand Theft Auto V - lspdfr" as mine.

Surely it won't download if steam is not running? Should my backup work as well, because I'm not sure if you had this problem but a while back with the update we would try and revert but RPH wouldn't let you?

If steam isn't running, RAGE will open it automatically.

I know that , but what I mean is turn the Internet off when I first want to play the game, launch RPH and the game

Once I have finished exit Steam and turn the internet on. So I would have the internet off before launching RPH.I don't play GTA online or anything like that. Would my backup work anyway like I said?

I believe that the backup needs an internet connection to actually take effect but don't quote me on that as I could be incredibly wrong.

Oh okay right. I'm not planning to use the RPH backup unless my method I listed before the backup fails for whatever reason. Once script hook is released I will download the new RPH and script hook.

When the last update was released some guy on here helped me out by giving me a steam_api64.dll. would something like this help me?

I'm not too sure. I believe @Starmix might be able to help you with that.

I don't use steam to play GTA V, I just turn off wifi and run RPH.

Sometimes it prompts me to sign in, and click offline once or twice but it does allow me to play GTA V offline mode.

@SpikeTerm's solution does make sense. Another thing you could try, @qwertyK, is going into the GTA directory and double clicking "commandline.txt" (create it if it doesn't exist) and putting this into it.

steamapi wasn't changed this update.

if your on steam and your rph backup is broken, your pretty much out of luck until the new shv and whatnots updated.

it's easier on retail copies. you can use things like Justin991q's update blocker to block the update. on steam your more "out in the open" perse.

Is this whar you have done for the new update then? Turn of WiFi and exit steam when you have WiFi on?

Okay great thanks ;-)

You can use offline mode to avoid update, but I just updated my GTA V so I have to wait for the new script hook V to come out.

Before, I just turned off wifi and loaded RPH

he stated he has retail version, this doesn't interact with steam.

steam wouldn't close because gta v is open. if you can't block it via offline mode or firewall then you might as well update and wait those poor few days without a trainer and ELS.

Okay right . But what I was saying is only turn WiFi on once GTA and steam is closed. I'm taking this would work as it downloads the update in the background

They released the new script hook. Once GTA has updated, do I just drag the new one into the GTA directory and everything will work ?
