It wanted me to update the update.rpf file

 

I moved all my files from the old version except the 'version.txt'

 

My game loaded, except none of the call-outs, ect.

 

I am back to using an old version...

 

I know there are proper steps to take to get the new update working

You need the newest version of Ragehook and Scripthook.

What mod makes these blips appear, and is there a way to turn them off?

Check your other post I already replied to that.

So the older version I am playing on right now, I should let it update

 

And when it prompts me to update the update.rpf folder in my 'mods'

 

I update, then copy over from my old version

 

Then, dowload latest version of scripthook and rph?

Yes just make sure that you're saving everything you changed in your old update.rpf and then putting it in not putting in your old update.rpf again after it updates.

I don't know because I don't know what rockstar updated but it won't hurt anything to try. I usually just save my visual files from whatever graphics mod I have in, handling and vehicles.meta, dlclist.xml and a few others things I might have changed.

I'm going to save my current update.rpf file and see if I can copy them back after updating

 

If not, I'll just re-download visual files for weapons, ect.

 

As long as I have my changes under mods folder I should lose anything with the update?

 

So I would need to install new version of rage hook and script hook that's all?

Yes the most you would lose if anything is everything inside update.rpf and all you have to is download the newest version of Ragehook and Scripthook.

You get them from people liking anything you post like, reviews, pictures, regular posts, etc.

and if youve hung around for years, you get quite alot of them....but i went on a hiatus and only wound up with 200 or so but since my return i got a decent amount.....they used to have a NEGATIVE marker and a few users still have a negative rating for giving bad info. also....i just manually added my new patchday stuff and everything works with out losing previous data
