Under $500? you probably wont get anything good for gaming. I have an ASUS G74Sx (which cost me around $2K)

i have asus g73 and it cost me 1800. Its run anything i throw at it. Under 500 there isnt really anything.

Try this one, great reviews just under $500. Has a 1GB dedicated GPU. Newegg has carried this for a bit, but the price is the lowest right now.

Or if you can double that budget ($1000) and have access to a costco membership. This laptop is almost a steal with a 2 year warranty (1 year from the manufacturer and 1 year from Costco) plus a 90 day return policy, for any reason. Intel 2nd Generation Quad Core, 8GB Ram, 64GB SSD + 750GB Storage, and a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT555M GPU.

That laptop you linked doesn't meet the minimum requirements. Native clock speed is too low, and it can only hit around the 2.3ghz mark if you use one core, which will again push it out of the requirements list.

A little research is your friend. From you statement that you tried to use an acer apsire laptop for gaming shows you didn't try to look up stuff. Take a look at this helpful guide. You can either build a gaming desktop like they explain in the guide or you can buy an extremely expensive laptop that will last a few years. Laptops aren't upgrade friendly.

Visit me on youtube. The most common reason for crashing is user error. Make sure you have the latest RAGE, ScripthookV, ScripthookVdotnet and turn off your antivirus. Make sure you have an up to date gameconfig.xml as well. Use Allbo's plugin troubleshooter to find any errors too.

Hrm... Didn't take note of that. Google search shows a couple of videos of people playing GTAIV just fine.

If don't need a portable computer (example; needing it to be portable at least once a week), I agree with OrangeJuice, you should invest in a desktop.
