New police mods not showing - double tripe checked instructions

Featured Replies

One mod pack instructed me to put my cars in the latest patchday which is patchday 13.  I did that.  Didn't work  Still shows stock.

Yes I am doing it through mods, yes ASI is installed and additionally I have installed RDE.

Could RDE be changing everything?  Because I also did the proper installation of the RDE version.  Still didn't work.

I read the readmes and went to the point where I put them in ALL patchdays and this still didn't work.

I am using Retail.  I am currently on build 944.  RDE is installed.

I'll be active on this thread so any questions about my troubleshooting please ask.

PS I also double triple checked the instructions given on the sticky that explains the installing of police mods.

Ok makes sense.

So the RDE-friendly version of the sheriff mod I downloaded, the instructions say to put the vehicles called lssheriff1.ytf, ytd, and _hi,. instead of just sheriff or sheriff2

It says to put these in mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\rdesheriff\dlc.rpf\common\data\levels\gta5

I did that, still doesn't work.  I notice there are other sub folders in dlc packs.  Theres rdesheriff, rdefbi, rdeemergency, and then just plain rde.

Let's focus on the sheriff one.  So in RDESHERIFF, there are LSsheriffs 1-4 ytfytd, and then there are regular sheriff ytds/ytfs.

Am I required to spawn them from the trainer?  Because they certainly do not show up in the garage.  Otherwise, which of these am I supposed to be replacing when I download all normal police mods that don't have RDE friendly installs?

Yes you have to spawn those from the trainer! Using the Garage, you'll only get the Vanilla Police Slots!

I got it.

The fleet is very diversified.  There's a lot of cars in the RDE fleet and there should be a write-up on properly outfitting RDE based LSPDFR because it is different.

Also like ELS is indicated on title of police mods, RDE should be inidicated too.  Otherwise I guess I'm just going to replace the cars in the RDE instead of patchdays.

Yes replacing the police police2 and police3 ytf/ytds in RDE folder did do the trick.

Like I said modding with RDE is much different.  Perhaps someone should do a sticky on it.

actually..patchday13 is old...latest is 14

Funny you say this.  I did use 14 as well.  But that also did not work.  What happened was I ended up deleting 14 thinking it may have been pulled over from b.1011.

It turns out when running RDE, RDE/RDEsherrif/RDEemergency/RDEfib takes precedence over all patchdays.
