Freeze at loading Lspd First Response

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

i have updated my game with the new Ragehook and scrIptook v. The game will load up until the point it loads LSPD first response and it just freezes. If I remove Scripthook from the GTA V directory the game loads fine. Oddly enough, I had it working earlier this afternoon and now it won't work at all. Any suggestions or something I'm missing?

Did you have yours working earlier? Take scripthook out of gta directory and see if it will load - it does for me. I have updated my update.rpf folder in openiv as well, as others threads have suggested but it had no effect. I've deleted my entire mods folder and verified integrity but still it won't load. Let me know if you figure something out and I'll do the same.

will you guys try removing AdvancedHookV.asi from your GTA folder and see if it loads without that? I've been having some issues getting GTA to work with all my mods after the new update and it seems that AdvancedHookV.asi is what's causing me to crash...

oddly enough, once I removed my mods folder (the only thing I have installed is RDE, which is a lot, but still) - I can load the game with AdvancedHookV.asi again. weird.

Removing AdvancedHook.asi didn't do anything for me.. game still failed to load and froze on 'loading LSPD First response.' If I remove scripthook, the game loads fine. Basically, I can play LSPDFR but I can't play it with ELS because I can't get the game to launch with scripthook in my GTA V directory.

Okay. So if you delete just ScriptHookV.dll, the game crashes? You aren't removing dinput8.dll are you?

I have reinstalled the game and it works now. However, anyone still experiencing the issue, do you have SweetFX installed? If so, try removing SweetFX and all of its components, primarily d3d11.dll. It may work for you.
