This morning I got on GTA and it said there was a new version, so I reverted it back to the supported version through rage hook. Now every time I start up my game it gets half way through start up on rage hook then says there was an issue with the GTA Launcher and to restart my computer if it persists. If that has happened to you or you just know how to fix this please respond ASAP, thanks!

This is happening to me as well. I tried just opening the game without the mod and it said it cannot find the file. Right now I am currently in the process of reinstalling it and I will let you know if it fixes anything

Pretty sure this is Cockstar's way of shitting on modders even further.  To my knowledge, there's nothing to fix this. Looks like I'm uninstalling entirely and not bothering anymore.

Actually, any update to any game will break mods. Also, they don't care about modders and stated this. So when they update it, they won't take time to make sure your mods will work as they don't care. They will most likely not deliberately stop story mode modding, and are not against it, but they won't go out of their way to make sure it works.

I just got a message from Rage saying "GTA V patch v1011 haws been released. We're working on support for this version."

 

Hopefully they come out with this within the next few days!

@OfficerJim I am trying to reinstall it and seeing if that will fix anything started 1hr 30 min ago.....at 21.2/67.1GB its getting there. Which will be ready first, my download or the new RHP Patch?

This can be fixed by using an older steam_api64.dll, I can give out those with PMs if anyone is interested

I play GTA on PC and i´m back to 944 ( thanks to RPH ).
But unfortunately, GTA wants to update again and again.
The login screen also always appears.

 

How to play offline?....he always wants to login.

@Bouwen Are you able to shut off your WIFI?

The computer is connected via LAN cable.

Yes, I could do that. Do I have to do this whenever I want to play GTA?

The problem with this file is no less serious than with login and updates. I'm very lucky that I recently reinstalled the game and have a full client backup with this not updated file.

Put in your commandline.txt "-scOfflineOnly" without quotes.
