Not sure what is causing the crash, but since GTA V got updated and I reverted back to the old supported version I can't seem to run anymore; ragepluginhook gtavlauncher.exe exited unexpectedly, so most likely it is a RPH bug, but their forums are not helpful/too slow, perhaps anyone here knows it!

 

All I want is to play LSPDFR with my mods again, which all worked fine yesterday, I thought the game back-up should've worked, but sadly no :/

 

if this is not the right section or not good at all, move/delete it!

Currently verifying my game cache through the RPH settings menu(Holdign shift while opening RagePluginHook.exe) and hoping this will solve my issue, I'm new to modding, so maybe it was a noob mistake, but we shall see!

I had this issue and contacted R* about it. They told me to reinstall the game and if the reinstall didn't work to follow this link AFTER a clean reinstall: https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/204075496-How-to-Resolve-Errors-in-the-Social-Club-Launcher-for-GTAV-PC

Seems like the revert to previous game version feature from RPH isn't working this time, I had the same problem too, veryfing game files helped me but now I have to play on the newest version without working Scripthook or RPH...

I don't even want to play on the newest version, not without my mods :/

And indeed the game version revert is not working, damn it, I just had it all perfectly modded hhhh

Now I'm going to delete everything and reinstall and play online, great when a backup version is not working :/

My steam just automatically updated and now I cant play without my mods either

i believe it was .2, pretty sure it was .2, but already deleted it :(

A updated steam_api64.dll is the reason for this problem, I replaced that file with an older verison and my backup works again

Ugh...  Been modding GTA V since it first came out on PC.  I've always kept manual backups of each version's key files.  Then I started using RPH's backup, but still kept manual.  Unfortunately, I've never had to backup the steam API dll before.  Figures.  Now, how do you get an older version of that file (my Previous Versions feature is disabled in Windows of course).

 

By the way, for others referencing, the version isn't important.  I've tried with multiple versions (944.1, 944.2, 975, etc.) and no go.  That's why I'm assuming 11John11 must be correct.

I got an older version of it by a fellow RDE team member, I'm not sure if I can share game files here

Completely understand.

Guess we will just have to wait for updates to come out in regards to RPH and Scripthook V

I did what you said and can confirm it works! Thanks.

I already deleted GTA V and forgot the gamebackup.rph-_- backed everythign up except that file, fuck my life-_-
