REQUEST: Replace dispatch callouts and unit responses with actual LAPD recordings

Featured Replies

I've recently found that using mods like BetterDispatchAudio is a great way to increase realism within the game. I'm definitely sick of hearing "Victor 13! We're at the little coffee shop around the corner!" every 10 minutes of playing LSPDFR.

So my thought, why not take the realism further, and replace the audio files used by dispatch and other units with actual recordings from an LAPD scanner? If someone was able to make a mod that also increases the amount of files that LSPDFR (and other mods with audio files) can use, then there would be no limit to the variety of radio chatter we can hear in game.

I feel for it to be as in-depth as possible with great variety it would take a fair amount of time which I don't have at the moment (otherwise I would start working on this myself). However, from using the BetterDispatchAudio mod I think the payoff would be great.

Any thoughts or anyone willing to give this a go?

I wouldn't mind having that, I really love to have authentic audio.

The problem with that is that everything of the GTA5 world (streets, districts, neighbourhoods, car brands, etc.) and its audio are fictional, so the LAPD obviously doesn't have anything we can use.

Furthermore, many add-ons (LSPDFR API or independent) use their own audio (partly extracted from the GTA V files) and some may not adjust to a potential popular audio pack. You'd end up with loads of mixed-up audio of different voices.
