Two?  You should have more.  Look at mine.  I've crossed out folders that are from other plugins and not essential.

Scripts isn't essential, I just forgot about marking that out.

 

But yes, you do need the lspdfr folder.  That may be very well why it's crashing.

Is there a chance your anti virus is blocking GTA?  Try adding it as an exception.

no I made sure it wasn't but that folder isn't in the actual gta 5 folder so i'll try to add it and see if that fixes it.

nope it still says program stopped working correctly. I'm guessing since I was missing the folder there could be other issues.

Screenshot your entire GTA directory.  The main directory, plugins, and the lspdfr folder within plugins.

At this point you may be in a situation where a fresh install may be necessary, if you chose to do a fresh install I would heavily advise watching these videos.

My mods folder has "Update", "X64", and "X64e" and all the dlcpacks.  Mods folder is meant to protect the core files.

I understand this however if there is an issue regarding scripts, LSPDFR or any mods related things you will crash and it can be quite difficult to track some CTDs. I myself have done countless reinstalls in my past and every time I do them I learn a little more about the file structure and more. It is completely up to you on how you want to approach fixing your game, this is what I would do in this situation following the tutorial step for step.

if I reinstall can I delete the gta 5 file before reinstalling?

Yes.

 

Also, for future reference, when GTA modding, please make sure to thoroughly read the readmes provided to you.  Those will always help with installing.

Ok now that I'm done with drill this weekend I can focus lol so sorry for all the questions but to get this right this time 1) would copying the GTA folder and placing it somewhere before modding keep me from having to reinstall every time? 2) which mod should I install first out of the 3 I'm trying to get installed (lcdpfr, rage hook, and the car pack).

Yes it is highly recommended to backup your GTA V folder and keep it vanilla. You should install LSPDFR and then override it with the latest rage plugin hook including scripthook v and a trainer preferably simple trainer. 

Edit: Forgot to mention this but cars should be done last with a mods folder, in my opinion you should get all your scripts and plugins working before proceeding to anything requiring open iv.

Good news. Finally I was able to load LSPDFR plugin and it's working. Now to get the other plugins installed and loaded before the cars and characters lol. What is the recommended or must have plugins for the mod?
