Hello everyone, When I install a vehicle mod in GTAV . It spawns the original vehicle. I don't know what to do please help.

I have the same issue with some police car models. really xD change them in the mod folder. did everything that was said. Some work but some dont. Having a mod folder is the way to install car mods, not editing it in the main directory

What patch do you place it in? 

I place iut in the 3ng or it depends on the vehicle

It really varies from car to car, i find majority being centered in 64xe but it varies between that and all the dlcpacks

Use the very latest patchday that has a vehicles.rpf.  Putting the files in patchday3 or other ones used to work. At some point, this changed.

Ive tried putting my police mods bit of everywhere since MAJORITY refuse to work, the police interceptor and buffalo just doesnt want to work, no matter what i do. nor does the sheriff, only the police stanier and unmarked stanier works :/

For me, all of my replacement vehicles are in patchday12ng.  If you're on a newer version, it might be patchday 13 or something.  Go through your patchdays and double check.  It will work in the latest. :)

Go into your other patchdays and look for other POLICE, POLICE 2, POLICE3 files and remove them.

Alright, ill go through them all. replace them all start the game and see if it works. then ill come back with a reply when done

okey so. ive replaced literally everything called sheriff, fbi and police with my police mods. Gone through every patchday and replaced everything, went through all the dlcpacks just incase and replaced whatever was in there that had police, sheriff or fbi. went through 64xe and replaced everything there aswell. Launched the game and went on duty. was gonna pick car. Still. Only the police stanier, unmarked stanier, park ranger, fbi (1) that works.

This makes no sense.  The only other thing I can think of is that for some reason, your vanilla files are overriding your mods folder, which shouldn't happen.  I don't advise messing with the vanilla files, but I'm not sure what else to suggest, unfortunately.

 

Have you tried a different car?

Tried several different mods, im going to go around searching on youtube and ill come back if i find a solution to it

I'm sorry to say, I'm flabbergasted.  There must be some step that is missing, because the cars should be appearing.  There's nothing that should be preventing this,

Fixed it, it was a user error whom the talented person managed to missplace a file in the wrong folder, being the 64x
