I'm not really sure, but since I'm working to make the Lods close to what the MTL truck(70,00 ploys or so for the L0, 19,000 ploys for the l1 and so on) is I would give an estimate of around 2mb for the firetruk_hi and 1  - 1.25 MB for the firetruk but this is a very big estimate as I'm only 80% done building the model.

How much longer do you think it will take till this is finished? I would really like to use this in my Los Santos Pack.

Literally all of them It looked like Auxiliaries were assisting officers on pursuits (they set up the roadblocks) would never happen in real life. Unless you change their title to reserve officers, or maybe have the ability for a reserve unit with different types of reserve officers. Fully trained, and less trained ones that would handle stuff like parking complaints. The fully trained reserves can fill in when an officer gets hurt, killed, suspended, and etc. But their access to you is for a limited time. Administrative stuff: Internal Affairs aspects. Have a dedicated internal affairs division or detective (depending on size) that respond to different scenarios that spring up if the morale and mental health of officers is too low. Maybe investigate some high level complaints or a video gone viral. Place officer on investigation and take them off the streets, suspend them, fire them. Union Union negotiations on things like policy and salary. Have morale affect union relationship. Maybe negotiate pensions so that if you get a new mayor who messes it up you'll have a morale problem and you'll see lots of cops leaving/retiring. A nice little challenge that happens in real life. Proactive patrol events? Are there going to be dynamic events that your patrol officers will stumble upon based on the neighborhood? Ability to customize uniforms as well. Color, external vest or not, what type of hats, etc. Maybe have certain things requested by the union which affects morale. Types of shift schedules that you'll need to experiment with to maximize officer morale, effectiveness and keep their health in check. Community events that change the relationship with citizens and how good recruits are for your town.
With games like these, try and make as many dynamic situations as possible. I've played and seen other sims like these, and shit gets boring real quick. So even if you have lots of different scenarios, try to come up with as many different aspects for them as you can. Arrest warrants for as many different things as you can think off, different motives for certain crimes or suicide. Just keep it as fresh as possible. What's the biggest population setting you're considering? I feel a population of like 5 million would be a nice challenge but incredibly overwhelming, but I think you should support populations up to 1 million if you haven't considered it yet.

Overall, I'm very excited. I think you guys hit the perfect balance for a sim like this. In depth, while being completely engaging.

    This is really interesting.

Black Jesus made a bunch of good points I'd like to build from, and introduce my own.

City sizes (both population and area) would pose different challenges. I'd like to see a small metropolitan area with the various culture groups; having to deal with the various language barriers that are directly associated with it. Additionally, large area maps that make you spread out your resources and deal with long response times and remote access to specific location. If you have an option for a map designer/city builder - this could pull some pressure from you for meeting everyone's specific needs.

Coming from that, I'd be curious to see what kind of modding support you'd have. Would you release the game on Steam and support workshop endeavors? As you can tell the community here has been know to outperform themselves when it comes to modding for further immersion and activities.

Sheriff's Office and other tidbits - I'd like to see where the player character is the Sheriff and not the Chief - being directly elected by the people. This would allow that character to go against, or with, the local/county government to gain funding and fight against municipalities for funding and officers. This would create a dynamic where you have to keep the people happy to stay in office, risking going against your government, all while remaining competitive to recruit some of the best LEOs in the area. Additionally, some dynamic to demonstrate the current issues that law enforcement agencies face with local/county/state and federal governments. Attempting to keep everyone happy while maintaining your own morale and manpower. (And, that's still nothing about housing inmates and the judicial system).

Policies - I like the concept of setting policies and hope that they're open to a lot of customization. This would allow for some international use (looking at the UK) for a completely different play style. Additionally, differences in pursuit polices, when helicopters are utilizes, specialty unit call-outs, and things along those lines would be interesting to tweak to your person (or familiar) standards. (Granted, along the lines of what your gameplay actually allows.)

Overall, I love the concept and would by into it - even at this phase. But, like Black Jesus said, I think you're on the cusp of gaining a lot of positive attention in relation to your project.

I know I have been very quiet lately. I have just been really busy with life and school. I really have no time for modelling anymore and the community has just gone very dead. I still have plans to make some stuff. But unfortunately, I will not continue the Michigan State Police Pack. For anyone who was waiting for that pack, I am sorry but my friend OfficerFive0 is working on a big Michigan pack that includes some MSP cars. (But that's not the reason I'm not finishing the pack) I will be doing one last pack and that will be my Los Santos Pack. Have a good day everyone.

We had some interesting interactions, with which I will not get into, but it was interesting to see how you did with your modeling over time. Goodbye and best of luck to you in your future endeavors.

As for everything else that this topic has seemed to turn towards, there will be plenty of issues in life that we will all encounter. Things that inconvenience us, things we don't like, or things that simply do not go our way. Our world is changing every second and, unfortunately, no one can always control the outcome of some things nor ensure that it is fair in every person's eyes. Judgment should be based on our ethics and our previous decisions, as I hope to see from the community staff here. Updates, changes, releases, what have you, will come when those in charge of it believe it is ready to occur. It's as simple as that, especially in a hobby-founded modding scene. People will be toxic, move on from it. People will steal, hate, accuse, and everything else under the sun. Move on from it. Things will go wrong and the outcome may be the opposite of what you want. Move on from it. If you haven't gotten the point yet, all you can do is move on. Whether that is moving on by simply ignoring, forgetting your concern over a disagreement, or moving on from the community. In this case, you chose the latter.

    Hi whoever is reading this,

So it has been a very long time coming, and I have thought about this a few times but I am finally quitting LSPDFR and probably GTA. I know you're probably wondering why did I just post a picture of a cop car I modeled then, well that was before I realized I was quitting and demotivated thanks to chapperoni for giving me a kick in the butt. There have been MANY things leading up to this decision, and of course it isn't an easy one to make ive been in the community for almost 2 years now and have enjoyed a lot of it (ish) and found new hobbies of mine like modeling and graphic design, and subsequently police cars and has directed my attention at a law enforcement career in the future (maybe, probably not though.)

Anyway here are some reasons why I am leaving, I was going to keep this brief but really fuck that, not here to start an argument or anything either thank you to the staff for your help and im not trying to call anyone out of course just hoping this will open your eyes if you want to keep your mod alive.

    - Toxic, toxic modding community. Not that this is necessarily the mod's fault or the general community's fault but man are the modders on this toxic. For those of you who have yet to see what goes on behind the scenes it is just full of negativity, immaturity, and constant shit talking no matter what you do. It is hard to spend money on ZM, and lord  knows the time to make models for a plugin for a video game as your hobby just to have half of the modding community tear your shit up because your lightbar is an inch too high or your antenna is curved a bit, or god forbid you dont have a cone and a bag in your trunk.

    - Inactive and/or generally unsupportive staff team. Again not trying to call any of you out, and those active ones you know who you are and I fully support you but those who arent its not very great. I haven't seen 90% of the staff team even so much as comment on a post in a very long time, which by all means is great go have your life dont focus on some police mod for a video game, but you cant expect the community to stick around. Someone can post a shitty, obviously troll model or livery and it wont get taken down for 6 hours just to have the whole community berating them and reporting them but no one doing anything about it, or they can leave a 1 star review saying some pointless shit on a mod you spent weeks on and guess what... you report it and nothing happens, just sad how unsupportive the staff is.

    - NO UPDATES! It has been 1 1/2 years since the last update for LSPDFR, with an experienced team behind it, a supportive community, and plenty of staff working on it nothing has been done. I know I know "BUT 0.4 IS COMING ITS GOING TO CHANGE THE GAME!!!!" simply... no. An animation has been added. And RDE and EUP have been watered down and then added. Not only is it not good, its just bad, not trying to be rude but nobody wants that, I could care less for stop and frisk or having mods that are already in my game dimmed down, we need an actual update. I know what you're thinking: "t0y you IGNORANT SLUT! YOU ARE A MODELER YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT GAME DEVELOPMENT AND SCRIPTING!!!!!!!! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TALK YOU FAT SLOB!" first of all im not fat, and that is very rude, second of all ITS BEEN A YEAR AND A HALF there have been so many scripts made, and huge game improving mods like from Albo that have taken less than a year in a half or PNWParksFan who has made an ENTIRE COAST GUARD CALLOUTS MOD in less than that time that has 100x more content than that update, and those are all by one person not even a whole development team. Up until the 0.4 announcement I had just thought the scripters or creators or whatever you guys are called just ditched the whole mod which is really sad considering I have spent countless hours, even 100s of hours making content for this community on my own time, without asking for donations, or trying to sell godawful merchandise. I really would've expected more from you guys, and you've failed us.

    - Honestly it's just boring. A repetitive mod that barely scratches the surface into anything police related. There are police chases, sure but you chase the guy for 4m, get run over by 100 cop cars "helping" you, pit the guy, shoot him, call a coroner, and drive away then rinse and repeat. No cordoning off the scene, calling investigators, directing traffic away from it, getting backup to come and park near the scene to help out, nothing that isn't action filled, like normal police work. It's just not enough to spend so much time on making models for, I would be willing to bet that there has been 5x as much time and effort spent on modeling for the community as I've seen from people like Matt who spends so much hard work on his models than the mod itself which is just silly. AGAIN because I know this will be taken the wrong way im not trying to call you guys out, I know you have a life, it's just a reason why im out of here.

    Anyway to conclude. Yeah. Bye.

Thanks to all the people that I was friends with over the years, you know who you are (most of you are in Faux Policiers, if so this is repetitive and we're still going to talk to so not saying bye so this is pointless so special thanks to you guys: Emil, DudeMan would be cooler if this was your real name but fuck off, Eric, Jay, Rob, Alex, Maurice, Steven, Brad, Hank, Jake, Jed, Kevin, Kus, Luke, and Trevor sorry you're last but you're offline so your name is on the bottom of the list.

Yeah, I have known about them for a long time. There are more than those that appear on an image search. I believe it was last year, there was a commercial that showcased many of the various vehicles football fans had customized. They ranged from ambo's to actual buses. I'll post the link if I can find it. Some are equipped with some nice sound systems and grills.  Or Both.

I have noticed there are not as many fanbulances as I anticipated so I might continue to do other vehicles that are sports themed. We will see. Might use other ambulance models too. Gonna have to get creative :)

shadowdiver710 got a reaction from Giordano in Why no more non-els vehicles as compared to els?
To add onto what Kallus said, it took quite a long time for ELS to be released to the public. There are many non-els vehicles that are arguable better than a good chunk (in my opinoin) of what has been released for ELS. Anything by Gump, Black Jesus, BxBuggs, theHurk, Walters, Pricefield; I could keep naming but you get the point. Most likely, you could find enough vehicles to fill your game just using three of the authors I just listed. I love ELS but my favorite tahoe of all time has to be Gump's non-ELS Kershaw County Slicktop tahoe. Think of new as new-to-you. Find a model you haven't used yet and Bam! New model!
