Hi folks,

I tried searching the forums but couldn't see the same issue... here is what is happening:

Installed all things fine and double checked by watching the videos in the support section... both Trainer.ini an .asi installed...

Game installed fine and patched to 1.07

Running as admin

Read only unchecked

Scripts all ok in relevant folders

Have attached the diagnostic report in case it reveals something..

basically, the game starts and i press Alt-P... the mod starts and i drive to the nearest police station (do i have to do this every time i play?) ... once there in the car and parked on the red circle...i appear in the building very briefly and then a message says "Roman is dead" and the game instantly restarts at the initial spot in some dark area... pressing alt-p does nothing at this point... a restart gets me back to starting the mod again...

I have obviously missed something here so would appreciate any advice!

I had this along time ago, can't remember what caused this but, did you finish the first mission? cause if you didn't, you should at least do that :dry:

You have to complete the first mission before going on duty. Drive roman to the house, and then once the game saves, you can go on duty.

Complete the first 2-3 missions like the one after you take him to the hardware store for some illegal gambling, so you have use of your cell. sooo not an LCPDFR issue...more like, User didn't try doing the missions first lol

Save when you've completed the mission.

Actually...if you have auto save on the first 4-5 missions, it does it automatically, I disable auto save after that then I go cop nuts, or you can do what Nicolai said, But i would disable auto save to be safe and avoid SMPA60 errors. Usually the only time you need to do this every time you start the game is when you are using Dsound.dll as the ASI loader and cannot access your online Social Club account and GFWL account say like you don't have internet. Xlive.dll as the ASI loader will move the save games but disable your GFWL connection to use offline

Ah ha! So if i play offline (which i tend to do) i shuld delete the Dsound.dll and install the Xlive.dll as the ASI loader will not error out when i use that?

Just to be clear... once in the game, i complete the first mission and save (or auto save) and THEN push Alt-P or before the save? Once the game is saved i can simply load the cop version instead of doing the first mission every time?

Yep, that's pretty much it! ^^^^^

Pretty much, the save games gets relocated to documents. Save first....save....never push alt-p before you save. I would suggest doing the first 3-5 missions or after the one mission where roman gives you the cell to dial numbers for like cheats if you plan on using them. Complete the game to unlock everything if you wish but i would suggest you do it the cheap arse way and install SNT to save your rear end

Hi guys... well progress being made... thus far i have deleted the Dsound.dll and used the xlive one as playing offline... i completed the first mission and saved the game... then pushed Alt-P and headed to a police station (after the save of course) ... the car parked and i appeared inside the building.... i moved to the red circle by the glass induction doors and immediately appeared outside the building with no change!

I must be doing something wrong here! Once in the building should i simply push E for the tour or what to do?

Hi again guys... well, good news! All is working as it shuould!

So far i loaded offline and went to the police station... took the tour and went into the correct room to go on duty.... was able to change my appearance to a cop that suits me and went on patrol...

Now... the thing is the key strokes are all messed up! I downloaded the R2 Key Guide 1.5.1 and they dont make any sense! Is there another?

So far, good to be in the game... i need to find out how to mod now and how to turn on the sirens etc

Press g to open the siren, j and k to activate lightbar or els

Please explain on how they are messed up? I will try to simplify the problem keys

Ah ok...

For example... pressing LAlt-o spwns a chopper! Alt-T does not spwan a taser... a chopper as well! Alt-U spawns a car!

While i am at it,the fladhing lights or lack of is a problem... in that there are none.... downloaded a ELS car... downloaed ELS and installed... in game pressed Alt-M i assume so they would work... sirens went ok with the G button but no lights at all... what does "make sure its turned on in the ELS config" mean?

You have SNT installed do the following:

Find keybindingsDisabled in the trainer.ini located in your "Grand Theft Auto IV" folder

Change it as follows:

Keybindingsdisabled=0

Change To:

Keybindingsdisabled=1
