So far I have only seen 2015-2016 (police) mustangs out there. I am really disappointed guys, as soon as the 2015 model came out, they started looking too ugly for me. Is anybody willing to make a 2014 or older mustang police version? I would love to see one in-game.

your disappointed  because theres not many mustangs out there? you do know everyone has projects, you would have to find the authors of those models and ask them politely to make  you a police mustang. 

That's right mrpotato just like me I been looking for someone to do cop car models  for me and i found him and his name is mrpotato just saying maybe you sude be more nice and ask people in a more nicer way thank you mrpotato for trying to help me out with this I know your have your work cut out on me lol

Hmm? I have nothing against any authors, I am just giving a hint that I would like to see one in-game.

I have a 2005/2006 looking one that I am working on. It is a little high on the poly count though (over 177k just as the model). That I am working on to be a police vehicle. However I can only keep it for personal use as I haven't heard back from the original creator if it would be okay to release.

Darn, ok. I just read your other forum, if you get permission to release this, would you be using this for the police4 slot in your upcoming pack?

No I can just release it separately. That evo 9 in my pack and jeep are in the same boat too so they may not get released with the pack.

I've been hoping for a 2013/2014 model myself - (mainly because I own a 2013 ^_^) I posted a request about them a while back but I imagine those models are not as easy to come by these days :P

Yea it was just a tutorial of it. Thats the mustang though right? If I ever get permission or if you wanna try to get it from the guy I'll build it more. It has a lot missing and needs work on the poly's which I can do.

What would be the problems of having a high poly vehicle? I imagine if you have a great pc it wouldn't be a big deal, right?... Also, that mustang looks amazing, I know I am being picky but that is just a bit older than what I'm looking for, but I love it! This was the year/ style of what I was expecting-

Oh my bad. I have that shelby one as well but again its high poly. Haven't played with it enough yet to see if I can lower it though

 

Problem with high poly is it starts to create texture drop in game as well as crashing. Not from PC specs but games are only handling as much as program to before they start to cut out things so it doesn't disrupt the model (Like buildings for example and roads).

 

Yes you saw correctly. I'm working on a fictional pack of police and emergency vehicles to release soon. Attach is a picture of the bearcat. I'm not sure which one of those you were referring to in your link.

Not sure. I'm going to be in a need of a skin creator pretty soon (Or two because of the volume of cars) and not every car is gonna release unfortunately due to the model creator not getting back to me. Even though these models are only fictional and not based on an actual real life fleet I wanna find someone to make Los Santos versions of skins from my town of Murrieta, Ca and Riverside Ca Sheriff's office, as well as maybe come up with a unique one off of there own imagination.

 

In my mod showcase thread I'll probably make a preview video of the vehicles before they are painted, so people can get an idea of what it will contain. attach is a photo of the project folder. Pretty much names what the police vehicle slot is and what its going to be as well as U = Unmarked and M = Marked Units.

 

But model build wise the only two remaining ones are the PRanger (Haven't decided on model yet) and Sheriff 3. Police 5 has an issue with glass break right now that I can't seem to fix after doing all my previous known tricks so hopefully will be the only bug I can patch later. Model wise depending on the details I put into it, it takes about 5 to 12 hours of work so hoping by Wednesday or Thursday of this week i'm done with model building and its just up to the painters.

Sweet! In the next few weeks, I will be completing school. After yhat, I will have 2 months of free time to do whatever I want, I'd gladly help you with some textures although I'm not the best.

Looking at the bear cat now you didn't like its the same as mine lol. Unfortunately its the only available one out there. It might be ugly to some but its the most closely accurate representation of one that is available and is low on the poly count so it doesn't suck up game memory. I don't mind it I don't know all the details of one of them but this one is good to me.

Looking at the mustang you want and that I have it actually isn't to bad on the poly count. However again I don't have permission to release it to everyone from the author.  I sent him a message and if he says its okay I'll make something out of it.
