On the website of GTA Police Mods.com they said that they would let it wither. It seems they took it down :(. Does anyone have any info on this? Lots of amazing mods were on it and many were exclusive to the site such as Lt. Caine's mods? Will he be releasing his old mods here? Same with BxBugs? I know they have a new site, but it's focused on V.

I think the old GTAPoliceMods.com website is now HighSpeed-Gaming.com?

It is I guess? I thought they would keep both and just leave GTA Police Mods and treat it like a GTA 4 if you will. Just leave it be, but live and let live.

Yes its a guess.

God damn it, thought I was IP-banned for some reason. Said the 'account', when I tried to load a mod page, was suspended on my end, and that I should contact my network provider. I tried to go onto the homepage, didn't load.

Glad I'm not the only one. Following for updates.

Ah crap, this also means the Fire Truck has been lost. God damn it.

EDIT: OH NO. I just realised my most downloaded mod - the Merit retexture - also had it's model files on the site. Modding career currently in shambles, because nobody will be able to use the textures.

vdH's car pack is just ruined now. Two models that can't easily be found, and one model that is broken. @Lt.Caine has lost a majority of his mods if they weren't mirrored, too.

This is big and bad news for GTA IV modding. After the Scripthook update disaster, now we've got an unfolding vehicle mods crisis. I'm unable to move to GTA V, so I'm screwed.

EDIT 2: scrit, or however his username goes, was my first port of call in PMs. He's apparently going to try and reupload what he can (don't shoot the messenger), but also told me that the site was being killed off before all this broke out.

@Bxbugs123 also has a trove of mods on there, apparently. So he's lost those, too, if he doesn't have the files.

Jesus Christ, from the looks of the titles of forum posts, the entire GTA modding community is fractured right now.

These are scenes similar to (SPOILER ALERT) when the 'Salvation Gates' fell at Algonquin Bridge in Fall of Liberty, folks, only without the zombies.

Everything will be changing over to HighSpeed-Gaming.com mostly all the old mods that are not on here.

Er, twelve days later, and sorry to sound rude and impatient, but any word on the file transfer business? I'm looking on highspeedgaming, and I'm starting to get a little concerned.

Seven days later, just would like to update you now need registration to view files on the site. And the log-in details are a little shady - I don't have a Steam account for GTA, but that is required, and most suspiciously, it requires an e-mail and location.

EDIT: Everything entered to a degree, click register, but no e-mail is sent. And now a fifteen-minute timer goes up.

Hmm.

(no offense, @Bxbugs123, its just this whole registration business isn't really my kind of thing)

Sorry, let me specify - the issue I have here is that I can't access the downloads area because it is blocked to guests. Problem is, the confirmation e-mail, even after I put in the right address, is not being sent. Is there another way around?

As of yet, I'm not looking for downloads to actually download, I'm just seeking reassurance that progress is being made on the GTA IV mods transfer.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound so harsh and impatient, in case I am. Its the toothing problems which I hope are fixed. Also, I'm not good with patience and conversation, sometimes.

it's now fixed you no longer need to register to download my files, other users may wish to have their files for members only.

Ah, thanks, I was getting concerned. But now the downloads bar is back, and I'm happy again. Will bookmark.

Seeing how it has to do with gtapolicemods being down, any one know of another place where I can find Lt. Caine's Police Patrol Merit model? It's not quite on the highspeed-gaming site and I can't seem to find it anywhere

Considering how GPM is down and Bugs disabled PM's for some reason this is the only way I can contact you.

 

I am extremely heart broken to see GPM gone. My old threads with my skins are all gone? I do have the RAW files but still. Is it really gone? Also is there ever going to be an official Bugs/Caine Taurus for V that have the same template so I can import my skins?

Seconded, that's my bread and butter right there. Most popular mod aside from the LVMPD pack was a Met Police re-texture for that, I think.

Maybe I should lay off this thread for a while.
