How do you revert to default vehicles?

Featured Replies

I have been running the British Police Pack for a while but I want to return to the default police vehicles. How do I do that? Like a fool, I didn't back up my original files/folders prior to installing the British pack. Am I screwed or is there a way to return to default police vehicles?

Thanks.

if you didn't do a back up of the original you can try 3 things.

1. if Running the steam version your can ' verify integrity of game'

2. If that doesn't work or you don't or you don't have the Steam you could try 'deleting' the files /RPF's that have been modified and apon launch the game should re-download them

3. However there is always the last option Do a complete Re-install of GTA.

I apologize if this next bit comes of rude, it was not my intention.

This is why we backup our game (or even the files that we modfied) so we don;t have to worry about what todo to get the original back

Thanks guys, yeah, its the Steam Version I have. If I verify the game cache and that gets me back to default vehicles will I need to reinstall LSPDFR?

@0taku - Point taken my friend, I know I should have backed everything up prior to changing things, I wish I had. I always did with LCPDFR and GTAIV, but this time I neglected to do so. My bad. Lesson learned.

Hi,

I verified the game cache within Steam and it looked like it was re-writing some files but upon starting the game back up afterwards, the British Police car models are still there unfortunately. Looks like I'm going to need to reinstall everything from scratch unless anyone else can chip in with a solution?

Don't suppose anyone has a backup of their vehicle model folder available for sharing?
