Reinstalling GTA V? Corrupt RPF file

Featured Replies

So I have a failed zlib call. I tried to install GTA V again, but my mods were still there. All my RPFs had non-matching MD5 checksums, so I deleted all of them and now Steam is downloading 37GB (presumably the new RPFs) will these be the original non -modded RPFs?Any advice on how to uninstall?

Thanks,

Alex

All you have to do is go in steam your gta properties and somewhere you should find verify game cache, and it should reinstall your rpf's

Use a mods folder. Dont mod your original gamefiles to prevent downloading the game again.

I did. Basically I tried to install an OIV (London Police uniforms or something like that) and I start the game up and get failed Zlib call. Downloading RPFs now. Take it will have t install mods again?

When you use the mods folder, it doesn't modify the original RPF files.  It basically makes a copy of those files in the mods folder and then modifies them (when you use automatic installers).  So, perhaps you forgot to click use mods folder when the prompt came up?
