I am playing in offline mode so that I can keep my current version for months to come.  I did this by using my firewall on my PC to block internet connection to anything GTA V related.  It works perfectly, but it seems once a month my launcher says something about needing to double check the authenticity of my copy and it locks me out of the game and forces me to authenticate.  I have done this about 4 times now. 

 

To do this, I have to allow internet activity through my firewall again and then the game updates automatically.  It's their way of keeping us logged in to control our game activity.  After it has activated and checked for authenticity plus updated I can then turn the firewall back on to disconnect internet connectivity.  But now, I must re-insert my past saved exe files such as the GTAVLaunch, ect. to correspond with the current scripthook I am using.  This is doable, but a hassle each month.  The biggest issue though is the update reverts my files, handling, vehicles, etc. back to stock and I have to re-install my vehicles, guns, and settings all over again.  

 

How is Rockstar still getting through and is there any way to stop Rockstar from forcing to check my authenticity requiring me to log on?  Please help quickly because I have a good setup right now and its almost due for the next shut out and authenticity check.  Thank you.

Instead of letting the game update, wait until the update progress bar shows and then immediately cancel.

This will not change your game files and will trick R* into thinking they've authenticated online. Do this once every time the authentication thing comes up and you're good to go for another week or two.

Wow, what a great idea.  Thank you so much for that info.  So this is how you currently get around it?  I just want to make sure I am doing it the best and right way. 

 

Will there at some point be a mod or something that can finally deactivate social club like in GTA IV?  Would be great. 

 

By the way are you the guy who created all the LSPDFR+, arrest manager, etc?  If so, I just started using it for the first time tonight and I am blown away how amazing this game is.  I cannot believe my eyes.  Great job.  I just wonder why these things such as frisk, grab onto the arrested ped, and a few other things weren't already implemented into LSPDFR.  It makes it complicated to remember all the keys and features when they all come separate you know?  Amazing though and the calls are just brilliant.  I couldn't believe it that when I showed up at the murder crime scene that we could then go find the murderer.  Wow, pure genius on writing this script.  Just wow.

The simple reason for those two being missing is that we simply didn't have the time to fit them in.  On the topic of frisking people, GTA IV had an animation for this, but GTA V doesn't, so it would have taken us a lot of time to research and try out alternative ideas - time which we thought would be better spent on other parts of the mod as not being able to frisk people isn't exactly as game-breaking as not being able to arrest people (and arresting people is something that required a lot of research and time too).  That's not to say that these aren't things that will come later, but these are just some examples of the decisions that we have to make when developing LSPDFR.  The upside is that some things being missing has given people like @Albo1125 a great opportunity to have a go at making them themselves.

Guys, is there any way to remove the Activation checker?  It just happened to me again.  I am going to try your trick, but man this is annoying.  Any fix to detach them from my launcher.exe forever?  It seems that have a 10 day timer hooked in the game to make sure of activation or some weird thing like that.  There has got to be something right?

 

EDIT:

It didn't work.  I turned off the firewall and the instant the cancel button showed up I canceled.  Now game won't even start.  I used the ragehook way and the normal launcher way and both don't work.  I went into OpenIV and I can't access because it says my files are corrupted now. 

 

So how do you guys deal with this and why do I seem to be the only one facing this issue?  Maybe not, but it doesn't seem like there is a fix for this even though a lot of people are saying there game is fixed now.  There is little to no discussion about my issue with activation.  What's the deal?

And another thing, each time I have to log in it requires a small download most likely getting me back to stock vanilla version.  So it deletes all my police cars, cars, and guns.  Even if it were to sign in in the future, how can it keep my add on cars and guns?  I don't currently have my mod folder set up correctly.  So i am just using in game files.  Please help me to keep all my cars, guns, and even handling settings please.

I found a potential fix if this helps anyone.  The rumor is that we can just set out computer date back past April 2015 and that fixes it.  I haven't tried it yet.  We shall see.
