Did anyone noticed the new generation of Gang Unit squad cars of the LAPD?

Just a heads up, not all of LAPD's slicktops are gang units.  While some slicktops are gang units most are just used for patrol supervisors, sergeants, etc.

That's not correct. Only some slicktop's are for traffic or even detective's. Most of them are for Gang Units. Supervisors use normal patrol cars with lightbar such as Explorer's or Interceptors. And they are one officer patrol units.

Who told you that? Your "argument" if you will (since you seem to be very hostile towards me for no reason) has a bunch of holes in it like why would a patrol supervisor get a specific type of marked unit and not just whatever's in the pool.  Also it's lapd policy that all patrol officers ride with a partner period.

Well, the brother of my boss is with the LAPD SWAT for over 20 years now. That's where i have my information from. And nothing what i said was meant to be hostile.

Take it easy guys. @steinberg4145, I don't think he intended to come off as hostile. And believe me, I've seen "hostile" before.

To be fair, I've seen slicktops being used at DUI checkpoints in some videos - unless those gang units also perform some traffic enforcement?

Correct.

Some slicks are used for traffic.

But pay attention to the rear lights.

If it's the typical amber/blue setup, than it's Gang.

If it looks like that:

.....than it's traffic......
