Gonna try to get an update for B.E.L. out today before 5 o'clock eastern time.

This update will have

  • Tweaks to the light pattern
  • Separate sirensettings for each color of lights (not corona sizes) (only for default sirensettings1 and 2)
  • An addon DLC pack to avoid conflict with other mods
  • Wig wagging brake lights

New video

This video is going to be on the main page for BEL's v1.4.0 release. I spent a good 2 and a half hours on this video, it's obviously the hardest I've ever worked on a video too. Due to a rendering error there's a long black screen at the end, so just ignore that.

The only things that I need to do before I release B.E.L. v1.4.0 are

  • Finish the addon DLC pack (working on it)
  • Check for bugs/test a few things
  • Make 1 or 2 more videos
  • Make more gifs.
  • Get permission from flwpheonix to use his sequencer values

Just got an oiv package installer to set police4 to have red and blue lighting.

I've got 14 out of the 30 needed oiv installers done. It's not hard work, just very repetitive. Expect the oiv update by this week or next week. I'm going to have to test all of the oiv's too, which will slow the release down.

The vehicles that will have oiv files are as following

  • fbi
  • fbi2
  • police
  • police2
  • police3
  • police4
  • pranger
  • riot
  • sheriff
  • sheriff2

I'll be providing oivs for addon vehicles in later updates, e.g. hwaycar,hwaycar2-7 police5-25. If you have any other recommendations for addon vehicle slots please let me know on this thread.

Grinding out oiv's today. What I'm doing is making oiv's for all of the vehicles on the list above that don't have oiv's yet, and for the vehicles that do, I'm revising their .oiv's so they're like the others. Also I'm making sure they don't have any bugs (like the title being "police4 - red/red" when it really installs red and blue lighting.)

Hopefully I can get the oiv update out tomorrow, it's going to be B.E.L. v2.0.0 because I've been spending so much time on just the oiv's. And the installation process is completely simplified. I'll still include the manual installation, just in case some people want it.

I usually don't share the cover photo things that I have on the B.E.L. main page before I release the update, but I'd thought I'd share this one to just show actually how many oivs there are. I still have to make sure all of these are working properly, and I'm still in progress of making the initial installer, just to install the DLC pack.

Also, some of you might be wondering why there's no policeb slot, and this is because no police bike models (that I know of) use sirensetting 1. I feel it'd be pointless to make something that will break the lights, and then have people complain it doesn't work right.

Ill add these slots for the next update. However firetruck might have to wait, and ambulance might not even be possible. Thanks for the recommendation.

Completely remade rotary lights for B.E.L. because 1, I lost the old rotary lights carcols, and 2, there was minimal effort put into them (it was pretty much just slowed down default lights). Now I've changed every rotary light to have sort of a sweeping pattern to it, and I personally think it looks nicer. There is still a few tweaks that I need to make to it, but you can expect the rotary lights to look something like this in an upcoming update.

Also, this is @nichankinson's 2005 LASD CVPI, I'd recommend you download it if you like older police vehicles.

Which side looks better? The left side or the right side sorry the video is lagging at the up close view, but once I walk further away from its easier to see the difference.

And look at that environmental lighting on the sign to the right!

Personally, right side looks better.

Fantastic all round though.
