2013 LAPD Lightbar

Featured Replies

Hi there! I'm pretty caught up regarding current LAPD vehicles but I was wondering if anyone could tell me the light-bar used by the LAPD in 2013? I have currently in my game a 2013 FPIU with a valor light-bar (It's the best looking 2013 FPIU I could find) along with a 2014 charger (I couldn't find a good-enough 2013. But they're close enough to not be a big deal) and 2011 CVPI to resemble the vehicles used by the LAPD in 2013.

I thought the valor bar was out of place until I recently saw (for the first time) a FPIU pass my house with a valor light bar. I was confused because I started looking into law enforcement after the change to the Argent lightbar and I can't, for the life of me, remember what the light-bars looked like on previous models. I was wondering if someone could provide information on the vehicles, model years, and light-bars used by the LAPD back in 2013? I want my game to resemble the LAPD in 2013 (considering that GTAV takes place then) as close as possible.

PS: A secondary part of my question - Are the valor light-bars on the FPIUs a new light bar that they're switching to or an older light-bar that the LAPD used to use (I couldn't tell what year the FPIU that passed my house was)

Thanks in advance!

any 2013 car would be using the arjent.

any pics u see with the valor are demo vehicles, never actually used.

the lapd only started using the valor this year, due to the fact the arjent has been discontinued.

if you are going for accuracy id use this model, not the one with the valor
