Hi!

I do own a legal copy of GTA V!

I experienced some crashes and reverted to another version. Now, I am trying to get the game to update to the acutal latest patch again. It does not work. Can someone help me?

Was genau funktioniert nicht? Die exe Datei die dein Spiel startet/updates downloadet? Hast du auch Mods wie RDE oder irgendwelche Autos oder Skins installiert?

Stelle sicher dass alles gemoddete Zeugs aus dem GTA 5 Ordner weg ist.

If you're on steam, verify the integrity of game cache. That will redownload missing files and update your game to the latest version.

Thx - I will try that! I own the boxed version of the game, though.

If it runs through steam, then that doesn't matter. If it however doesn't use steam and uses only the social club, then i can't help you, sorry. I'm only familiar with the steam version of the game.

If you buy the game via Steam, yes.

If it's a retail copy then i'm afraid it's not possible to make it run through steam, it runs through the social club. If nothing works, as a last resort, just reinstall the game. Redownload it if necessary.

Oh, if only I were here earlier:

1. Hit "Start", "Run", and type "cmd" without the quotes. Hit enter.
2. Type "cd c:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V" without the quotes in the cmd window that pops up. Hit enter.
   • Note: If you’ve installed the game to a different directory, enter that directory instead.
3. Type "GTAVLauncher.exe -verify" in this window (no quotes again) and hit enter.
