I have a half decent laptop that can just manage GTA 5 at 30-50fps, but I'm frustrated because whenever I install a decent car model like bxbugs123's Dodge Charger it causes things to start lagging after a while playing.

What kind of models should I look for that will be more friendly to my PC?

Yeah it's if I'm driving the new model. It's worse if agencies are set to respond in custom cars so I don't even bother with that.

 

i don't have the CPR mod

Installing unsupported car modifications will always affect performance in some way. Your best bet is not to use that many car mods together with custom plugins.
