  3. I know this is old, but the only parts of RDE that impact performance directly are the scripts it comes with, particularly arrest warrant, which made my mid-range gaming PC start lagging in police chases, can be removed without breaking things. The scripts do things like spawn certain cars in places and other non-essential features. There is an indirect performance impact from rendering a lot of vehicles of course, but providing you have a decent GPU it should have the video memory to handle this without running into issues. When I used to play on a laptop I always had problems using RDE vehicles because of a lack of VRAM in my system (integrated AMD graphics). So yeah tl;dr the scripts it installs are the main thing that affect performance. Delete them and you should be good.
  4. Hello, yes I do. I have eyes. without activating this mod the lag doesn't ensue.
  5. Doesn't seem to work anymore, has no noticeable effect on the brightness of lights
  6. This is causing lag, especially when I go off duty then on duty as another officer. FPS drops are caused by this mod.
  7. Guys my 2015 Charger's red strip tail light isn't coming on unless I'm braking. How do I make it stay on all the time like other charger models do? thanks
  8. Okay, my final question was whether the brand of GTX 970 makes a difference. I know they all have slightly different clock speeds from 1.08GHz to 1.18GHz the one I was looking at was the EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/JTwqqs/evga-video-card-04gp42974kr which is 1.17GHz
  9. Looks like the GTX 1060 will take me £50 over budget. There's not a huge difference between the 970 and the 1060 anyway is there? The R9 380 is also an option
  10. Alright, sounds good. I probably won't get a 6600k because from what I've heard the only advantage over the 6500/6600 is overclocking which I'm not interested in
  11. So I've been on here before to ask for advice on a budget £600 build for GTA and LSPDFR, and it's come down to a decision between the GTX 960, GTX 970, the newer GTX 1060, or the Radeon R9 380. This will most likely be combined with an i5 6500 (or hopefully a 6600k if there is enough budget left) and an SSD. Which of these cards would the community recommend? The 1060 is a much newer card so it has that appeal, as there's no way I can afford a 1080 or even a 980 Thanks!
  12. @Iggy Fresh Also would try and get an SSD instead of a HDD. Think I should have no problems playing with the mods I do on high settings 720p or 1080p with that combo
  13. @Iggy Fresh Looks like a good build, I was thinking of the i5 6500 and the GTX 960 4GB (which seems to be a solid graphics card), might cost a tiny bit more though
  14. @Iggy Fresh I'm just after the computer parts to build a PC myself for that price. @Mike Bik 15-25fps sounds horrible I couldn't live with that!
  15. That's cool but I like to go off actual performance tests and based on them you can achieve 40-60fps consistently for $400 let alone $600.
  16. Yeah I only play LSPDFR with ALPR, traffic policer, search warrant police radio and passive speed radar. I don't install ridiculously high poly cars I use in game cars and modify their liveries. Only mods I use are simple trainer skin changer Emergency Uniforms Pack and LSPDFR. From the looks of things I can get an i5 6500 and a Radeon R9 380 for $600ish. That sounds pretty decent to me
