I typically use ABP on most other sites and I don't mind turning it off here to support the cause, but I'm now having to turn ABP back on because of all the constant voice ads.

Please stop them or I won't be able to support the site's advertising anymore. I can't have voice ads playing.

I don't think they can really choose if it has voice or whatever, since they have to go with what their advertising company gives them.
They use AdSense, which is owned by Google and is pretty good usually with this stuff.

We don't (to my knowledge) serve any auto-playing video/voice ads.

If you think one has gotten through, we'd need a screenshot or link to it so we can block it, we can't do anything about these things unless we are alerted to them.

Okay, I will turn ABP off and see if I get anymore and alert you about them.

Its only been over the past few days. Yesterday I was just sitting on a page writing a comment and they just kept coming up in the background while I was on that page, I tried to find it on the page but nothing looked like it was moving but the sound was definitely from that page, I muted the tab with Chrome and it stopped, unmuted and it came back.

Thank you so much for looking into this! The ads seemed to "wait" until focus had been off the window for a long time in order to start playing audio. I left an LCPDFR Forums tab open on Chrome for what must have been 20+ minutes and an ad started auto-playing audio. What's funny is I can't remember what they were advertising; these things are supposed to be memorable but they're just annoying. 

@Cyan There definitely are still video/voice ads going around. I've encountered about 5 since reporting this; unfortunately I haven't been quick enough to screenshot any of the video ads. I just got one that was the McDonalds Olympic ad, again I was too slow to screenshot it.

Eradium seems to be right that it waits for you to not be on the tab or just looking at another program to change the ad. Not sure if thats a coincidence or not but it seems to be true from what I've seen so far.

If I do get any screenshots I'll post them once I can.

Nope, it's definitely coming from LCPDFR I can see the speaker on the tab and mute the tab in Chrome and it'll go away.

@Cyan I was finally able to capture a screen of one of the videos, this time it played as soon as I loaded the page. Of course now I can't post the picture for some reason so here: http://imgur.com/a/7cYlr

 

Got one tonight.  Its a Chase bank ad,  with a person walking a pig on a leash. LOL. Started auto playing while I was reading the description of a vehicle model. Also had started to play the sample youtube video for the model and the ad volume blasted right over the top of the video volume. 

I'm getting one on most pages. JAMIE FOX FOR VERIZON HERE!
