normally, youd verify integrity of game crash, then copy the new update.rpf to your mods folder and reinstall any mods that u had in update.rpf

If you don't use a mods folder and you've modded your game, then assuming you have steam copy, you will have to verify integrity of your game cache thus you will lose whatever mods you've installed. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335

If you don't have steam then I would assume you'll have to re-install your game with what ever method is available.
