Just think, if I went and recorded new audio we could use the proper (NATO) phonetic alphabet... and record a few local place names for callsigns...

That would be sick!

There's some British audio out there but it chops & changes between the original audio & the replacement in the one I downloaded. Also, the same guy in the same voice is both dispatch & the answering officers which is annoying.

Yeah. If it were up to me the dispatcher would change infrequently to reflect shift changes etc and as many NPC cops as possible would be different. I might look at it over Christmas when I have some time off.

I wouldn't bother with multiple dispatch voices tbh, you'll just end up with people complaining when it chops between them all during a call. The way we use dispatch audio for callouts, each 'bit' generally is a separate sound file... most callouts will use at least 3 different sound clips ("we have" "a crime name" "in suburb"), the function that plays them (part of LSPDFR) randomly chooses from the available ones for each clip.

I've thought of this for ages, even know a few people that could probably have helped out about it, but I know nothing about editing audio so it wouldn't have the "radio" feel to it so never bothered lol

I was thinking having a script or something that changes the dispatcher voice by time of day or something. Not sure. Maybe a later down the track thing. I know here in Canberra there are two radio operators on each channel at any one time. When it's busy they do swap on the fly. Either way, one would be fine for now...

I'm able to edit the audio to give it that tinny sort of sound effect I think. I'll play in the morning and see if I can do it how I'm thinking. May also know someone that'll be happy to do the recordings for a carton haha.

If you get it working, I can probably get at least one or two people still interested to voice some cop lines (wont do any myself cause I'd end up using any aussie dispatch, and would be weird as hearing my own voice responding during a video lol)

Interesting that they charged him with aggravated impersonation. Must have been pretty dodgy.

Yeah, He must've been an idiot to do something like that which jeopardizes his whole career now...

So who's releasing what this weekend?

I did all the steps in the follow up post & every time I go into EUP & select this in my wardrobe, the game throws up the corrupt data message. So I took the code

out of wardrobe.ini & tried creating it myself but the game crashes (no surprises there).

While I'm here, I haven't got the other NSW uniform items working either in EUP.

Uniform works fine for me

In this case, you've probably got an old version of EUP and/or its dependencies or you're doing something wrong...

I don't but watching the video just now makes me wanna go hire a couple of voice actors and redo all the audio... I did t really like the altered pitch.

If you've gone into the yacht to move it too a different location in online, the guy has an AUS voice, we need something like that lol.

I've only had the game for about a week. Current version of EUP. Followed the supplied instructions.

Let's see what happens when I get it working again after verifying the files - had issues with 25 files according to the system.
