Adding More Livery Slots to Vehicles

Featured Replies

Most of my vehicles have been converted to addons so I'm not replacing vanilla vehicles for the most part. I know vanilla replacements are limited by what they replace since not all vanilla cars have liveries.

There must be a way to add more livery slots to addon cars, but I can't seem to find anyone who has done it or even asked the question already.

Does anyone know if it's possible and how to do it?

FLAG_HAS_LIVERY -> with all the other FLAG_HAS_STUFF thingies where you put the vehicle.meta lines. Then just name them to nameoftheskins_sign_1/2/3/4/choosethenumber.

Pretty sure the only way to do that is in Zmodeler by setting the car up to have multiple textures defined. While the FLAG_HAS_LIVERY flag tells the game to try to spawn a random texture, the model itself still has to be set up for it.

Somewhere there has to be tutorials all about car modding that will probably have the info to do that.

Yeah, I've tried that already. The cars already have the Has_Livery and other flags and multiple liveries do work, but its limited, i.e. one car came with 4 liveries stock if I add a 5th one it's not usable in game even though the livery flag is set.

Thanks Loot, that sounds like what I thought it might be. I was hoping it wasn't attached to the model, but I feared it would be. I'll try to find a few modding guides and start there, if I find the answer I'll update this.

It also has to do with the model itself and how it is setup its pretty simple really if it is already mapped and unlocked to open in ZModeler all you have to do is find the line the vehicles body is mapped to in the material browser and change paint 1 to paint 3 in the title as well as how the game defines it
