He wasn't telling you not to use TV to help the user, he was stating a disclaimer as to the fact that its not recommended to help people on the site over TV, rather than its better (In most cases) to just simply tell the user what to do to fix his/her problem, if users computer gets messed up because another user decided to try to help over TV, we're not responsible.
