As I'm trying to get a more retro policing style of game going (70s-80s cars etc.) I wonder if it's possible to set the default pistol weapon the cops use to the revolver. Is there a file I can edit to make this happen? I've seen mods that change it to the combat pistol, so it's probably achievable. 

Editing the backup .XML isn't it can't you change the weapon on there?

Well yes I suppose, but what I'm getting at is changing the default game's cops to use them, like a .ymt file.

You could change what weapon they use in "loadouts.meta".

Ahh gotcha

The default backup.xml doesn't support changing weapons. My custom backup mod lets you change weapons, but often LSPDFR's AI will just take over the peds and change their weapons to its defaults anyways.
