Game crashes after loading LSPDFR due to SlimDX.dll

Featured Replies

I'm having the same problem other people have reported with SlimDX.dll causing the entire game to crash when LSPDFR is loaded.

I have tried all of the following already, to no avail:

  • Removed all LSPDFR plugins and only loaded LSPDFR in RPH
  • Ran the SlimDX installer
  • Repaired VC2010 redist
  • Restarted my computer multiple times
  • Tried running RPH as an admin
  • Reinstalled LSPDFR and reinstalled RPH afterwards
  • Turned off developer mode
  • Banged head against wall
  • Banged head on keyboard
  • Swore at computer

Everything was working fine 12 hours ago. Not sure what changed since... I didn't download any updates or do anything to my system. Just turned it off, went to bed, and turned it on in the morning like usual.

Can anybody figure this out? Right now I'm unable to make any progress on my mods since I can't even run LSPDFR.

MulleDK doesn't give a rat's ass either. So I don't think this is going to be fixed for a while if it's to do with Ragehook.

This inexplicably resolved itself a few hours later, after I'd given up. I was about to log off the computer and figured I'd try one more time... and wtf, it just worked fine. I hope the problem doesn't return; it's very annoying not even know what might have fixed it.
