Hello guys so the other day I download a CVPI model and installed it with Package Installer in OpenIV as it was a (.oiv) now every time i try changing the model it won't change it just sticks to that CVPI. Is there anyway i can uninstall that .oiv or just remove it so i can change the model.

you say you already tried overwriting the vehicle file with another one?

Yes i tried doing it the normal way not through the Package installer
i did this > GTA V/update/x64/dlcpacks/patchday3ng/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf
 

if you install a new texture on that model will it work?

like when i replace the model it shows and everything but when i get in game it goes back to the CVPI its like it don't save.

yes, but if you install a new vehicle texture will it work?

it works in OpenIV like i can edit it and everything it changes to a new model but once i get back in game it resets back to the old one. If thats what you mean.

not the model, the skin can you throw on another one and will that skin save

its just like when i install it from Package installer it stuck. i should have done it the other way? do you maybe think its in my mods folder

try installing a completely different modle in that slot and see if it will work

Ik wat you mean. You never went into the gtaV directory to replace the "vehicle" models file. Once u edit it in openiv you have to extract the file you edited to the desktop then drag it into the gtav directory where the vehicle models are held

You said it dosnt change in game are you putting it in the right section? What model are you replacing?

Ok so let me explain my problem ok.

I got tired of the model so i tried to change it. and yes i changed it the right way though the update folder and so on. but when I get in game the new model i tried to install messes up. the model shows up but the lights are glitched out on the car? i have no idea why ever since i installed bug's CVPI with .oiv (not blaming bxbug's hes awesome)

if you guys need a video let me know it will only take me 2 minutes to upload it

You didn't read the guide I wrote and posted here. There's a part with "my lights don't work, how to fix it".

Also, delete everything in your mods folder to start on a clean basis. If you have used a mods folder, that is, which you should have.

so wait should i just delete everything in the folder like everything?

If you have used a mods folder, just delete everything inside and reinstall all your car mods. Possibly following the guide I wrote so you won't have to ask for help.
