I am creating a skin pack for LE agencies of my own creation. So far i have 2 Agency plans, Department of Martial Services Defense Police and Civil Security Police. I am having issues deciding the Livery setup for the CivSec. I will post pics of the PJ. Also i want honest opinions of the DefPol one. (I can not get the pics to upload: There was a problem processing the uploaded file. -200. What did i do wrong?)

Yes, it seems like the site is having issues. I can't upload anything at all either, same error message. Best to wait it out.

As far as the livery setups go, I'd be happy to give an opinion once pics can be uploaded again.

Haha, Sucess. There are 3 for CivSec and one for DefPol. I can not choose which CivSec skin to use. Perhaps you have opinions, these are currently the only skins i have. Designed for Impala. I will get In-Game pics ASAP so you can see how they look, the strips and badges are sides, and the simple wording are on the trunk.

Cool, I like the dark gray base of CivSec 2 & 3, but I also like the blue stripe of DefPol. The text for CivSec 1 might be a little hard to read, I had to squint a little to see "Civil Security" at the back. You might want to consider different colors for the fonts there.

Also, are the stripes for CivSec models suppose to be slanted upwards? My OCD is kinda kicking in, forcing me to see it leveled and parallel with the window edges. If it's meant to be that way, then that's fine.

As for the wording, 2K resolutions tend to leave text all blurry. Making it in 4K will allow you to see it clearly in game.

Thank you Beren, i will consider that. Can a 4k resolution go on a car that came with a 2k template? Yes, you are correct, i tried to level the striping on both models with the windows.

 

Anyone feel free to vote on the better Civil Security Police livery, if you all like all three i will keep it that way though since the vehicles support like 6-8 liveries lol. Now i just gotta find a way to change the light bar to Green/Blue since that is how the lighting for the Defense Police is described ion my story (Green for Military, Blue for Police) The Civil Security can be blue/blue or blue/red unless you have a better idea hehe.

Yes. Some of the cars I made textures for had only 2k resolutions for their templates. I simply had to add those templates as a new layer, enlarge them to fit the 4k resolution, and just add my texture from there. So long as you follow the template, it should show up in the game properly.

Hmm, that's odd then. If it appears leveled in the template, I'm not sure why it would look different on the actual model.

I like CivSec2 and DefPol. They could do with some unit numbers though, make them feel a little more organized and official. It's awesome that you're making these as part of your own story, I was actually thinking of making some personal skins for a fictional Roman-like empire in modern times and how their police would like from their cars, uniforms, etc. Keep at it

And I know some people here have already discussed about different colored lightbars. I'm just not sure if green is possible at the moment. You can try searching for threads here about them though. They've got to be buried here somewhere.

Hmm, looking at the pics the CivSec striping is level, just starts at the front window corner. Perhaps the issue is the angle the car is parked at. The DefPol striping is flush to the windows though so it slants upward. Uniforms would be a challenge, i am ok at vehicle liveries but the uniforms may be hard to do cause they will require knowledge of peds. I have the Defense Police appearing as a Federal agency (FIB,DOA,IAA,Park Service) and the CivSec as the rest of the agencies (LSSD, LSPD, North Yankton). NOOSE and Military will be the Defense Police Special Service Unit. Since the story is based in a dystopian totalitarian/Martial Law version of the US called the Martial States of America where the only thing not totally Military controlled is the Public Safety Bureau Emergency Services (will replace LSFD and the EMS & Lifeguard unit.)

I was also thinking of the SSU livery, since it is like the SWAT/SRT of the Defense Police should I keep the livery and just add "Special Service Unit" text or totally change the livery to be more Tactical (Black base/Blood red striping, Black Base/Navy Blue striping, etc.)
