"Corrupt game data" after installing EUP and skin control

Featured Replies

Hello,

I was following a tutorial by First30Minutes to install these mods.  I installed them exactly as instructed, however, I noticed that I did NOT have a mods folder in my main directory for the SC and EUP file.  These files got placed somewhere on their own.  I attempted to launch the game and it crashes on start saying "corrupted game data."

I went in and removed these files, but it's still saying corrupted game data.  What happened?

You installed the files in your original GTA V data because you didn't use a mods folder. If you had one, you would have been asked if you wanted to install the mod in it during the installation of said mod. You're good for either a repair (verify game cache on Steam, repair option on the retail version), or for a complete reinstallation.

Seriously?  Nowhere in that tutorial did it say we needed to use the mods folder or even make one.  Fortunately I have a backup of GTA, so I won't need to reinstall the entire thing, but still...that is a shit ton of mods for me to reinstall.  If I do a repair, will that replace LSPDFR files?

No idea, I never did a repair on a modded version of the game, I always deleted everything that was related to mods before attempting one last time I had to do that.

But yeah, from now on, make sure to use a mods folder to keep your vanilla data safe from harm

I managed to get it to work by adding the mods folder in OpenIV and redownloading.  Emergency Uniforms pack now works, however, skin control is not..unless the button to use skin control isn't F11.  (Could you verify which button is skin control?)

Couldn't tell which it is, I modified it. If you lauched the game with skin control installed, you should have a skin control.ini file in which you can change the shortcut to open it.

Make sure you installed skin control at the root of your GTA V also, and not in the plugin folder or anywhere else.

I checked the ini, and it says my hotkey is 119.  Uh, is that exactly how it sounds, 119? or am I being dumb?

On this topic, it says everything you needed to know:
If you never installed any mods, read this  before you install any mods or ask for help.

  • No matter what mod you're using, you need the latest version of ScripthookV
  • To edit your GTA V files (Peds, cars, textures, weapons and etc.) you need to install and activate OpenIV
  • You are gonna need a mods folder, follow this tutorial here
  • EUP Clothing Menu works with RageHook plugin, so make sure you have the latest version

Before you install this mod you are gonna need.
- Skin Control v2.1
- A trainer I recommend simple native trainer and/or Menyoo
