Thanks in advance to anyone that can show me but I am starting to get back into vehicle modeling from gta 4. I got the basic down on changing a car over to make it a police model and I got the template building down as well.

 

My question is components like light bars and ram bars and what not. I have some from gta 4 model building days and I've watched videos on YouTube of how people convert 4 cars over to gta 5. Is converting a component from gta 4 to 5 the same as the videos show for an entire vehicle?

Hello @Thero,

Converting any IV .wft part is very easy. You're going to need ZModeler 2 and 3. When you download any developer part that is in a .wft format simply import it into ZModeler 2. After that export it as a .z3d and you will now be able to open the .z3d in ZModeler 2. When it comes to lightbars you must configure them for the V lighting system. If you have any more questions feel free to private message me and I will help you out.

@Virzza hey thanks for responding so fast. Im gonna PM you shortly. Appreciate you taking time out of your day to help me.

Now my question is how to turn els light bars into gta 5 ones if anyone knows or if it's even possible. If I'm gonna build a model I would prefer to take the time to add a nice light bar to the vehicle as well instead of just shortcutting it with the gta 5 default ones.
