*URGENT* Need someone to clear up video!

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a clip from dashcam from my dad's car and we need to be able to see the vehicle registration mark (VRM) of the vehicle going the other way. I have tried to clear it up myself but as I am amature in this area I failed...

Please let me know asap if you could do this within few days. The quality of the clip isn't HD or anything but when I was going through it frame by frame I think there's a chance that advaned video editor can clear it up nicely. Alternatively if there's a chance of making a screenshot and editing the still to see the VRM that would work too.

I attach screenshot of POSSIBLE frame I identified as perhaps being good to be edited. All help much appreciated.

Thank you

Editing a screen shot of a frame at a close distance to your camera is your best chance, but you can't really improve the resolution of a camera. Digital zoom multiplies the number of pixels in a photo to scale it to be larger, but it distorts details in doing so, and modern digital cameras are notorious for being pretty terrible in low light conditions, made especially worse when there's a bright light source pointing directly at it, further confusing the camera's decision as to whether it should adjust itself for low light or high light conditions which in itself takes several precious seconds in which a car could pass you and be on its way.

You might be SOL on this, sorry.
