Whats up guy hey sorry for the ignorance on my part man but its been going on for a while i've been i guess lucky and installed a couple of cars to my gtav folder via open iv but recently every time i insert a vehicle and ready to start the game it updates gtav and erases my car anyone have an idea what i'm doing wrong i have asked a few people but havent got a answer so hope someone can help i appreciate it and if this question is not properly placed my apologies.

You need to use a mod folder and have the archives you want to mod in the mods folder. Basically the folders you plan to modify or edit those need to be copied into a mod folder "mod" in your gta directory. Then add the cars and it won't update.
