Looking for a Gaming Headset

Featured Replies

Hey guys i figured i'd ask you to help me out with this. Im looking to buy a headset for my PC gaming needs. If you guys could link me to some good deals on headsets that are decent or better that would be great I don't have a lot of money so try to keep it on the cheap side please.

Here's what I'm looking for in a headset.

  • Decent cord length
  • Decent mic quality
  • Comfort
  • Decent price

Obviously im not looking for the best just something decent as ive said many times LOL.

If you guys have any recommendations that would be great. I really don't have money to save up at the time. Im really looking at spending 40 USD at max but i'll entertain any recommendations.

Thanks, OSHPTROOPERSHORTY

I use a Razer Carcharias headset and I love it. It's a slightly older headset now so it's fairly cheap (under $70), it's very comfortable (I can wear mine for 8+ hours no problem) and the sound quality is great. The microphone is decent and, if anything, the cord is too long.

The only thing I don't like it as that the LEDs in the Razer logos cannot be turned off unless you turn your PC off at the power-point, or unplug the headset itself. This is only really a problem if your PC is in your bedroom though (as the LEDs are VERY bright when you're trying to sleep, lol).

I use these:  http://www.turtlebeach.com/product-detail/xbox-360-headsets/ear-force-x12/56

Made for the xbox 360, they are also compatible with PC. With three sliders, two control game and chat volume, the other controls bass.

Very comfortable, good noise cancellation and a decent microphone, can be picked up quite cheap.

Considering you want cheap, I won't recommend the Razer Tiamat. However i do agree with @Illusionary The Razer Carcharias was my first proper gaming headset and they were pretty awesome for the cheap price. Sound quality is amazing and it also comes with a bass feature (which can be adjusted like the volume), just grab a cable tie though because the cord is long and can be quite annoying.

tbh, the sound is just as good as the Tiamat.

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me
