Hello all, Columbo here.

Just ran into this problem, My GTA just installed a 290mb update, my mods folder containing visual V, radiance v vehicle mades replacing practically every police vehicle, and a Glock 17, along with American Sirens pack, however none of them worked, all went back to vanilla, I deleted the mods folder and started again, re adding all the vehicles, visuals, and audios, launched the game, it still gave me vanilla cars, sirens, no visual v, or glock, etc. It seems my "mods" folder is being ignored in the dictionary, its very odd and annoying a I hate those vanilla sirens, and other stuff. Scripts, etc, are working fine, anyone got a solution for this?

Oh and just one more thing, I don't know if its anything to do with ragehook?

Quick question does your GTA update after you've added these textures and mods? 

Whenever it updates it starts back as a vanilla model game.So now you have go back in and replace all those files in the actual game,outside of the mods folder,to have the mods you want in game.In other words reinstalling all mods that are in the mods folder.

No it doesn't update when I re added them, but still is vanilla,

But are you saying for me to actually replace the game files instead? If so I don't really want to do that in case I screw my game up.

UPDATE-- tried to move the mods folder out of the GTA V dictionary, launched it, then let it open and go ingame, closed it, put mods folder back in and launch, but still nothing. Its like its being blocked from operating...

I just re added a crown vic to my actual game files rather than the mods folder, launched and it started downloading a small update again, so yes it is doing that

DELETE ALL MOD FILES AND START AGAIN PRIOR. 

 Your mod folder, copy all the files from the original directory (your are aiming to edit) and make sure all directories are same as the original. 

It maybe due to one of the mods being corrupt that GTA wont load it when you try and play, if you like I can teamview you and try and fix it for you? 

 

 

 

 

I'm having the same problem I think. Cuz VisualV or any police cars but the first one I installed doesn't work!

Well, I let GTA V do the 1.98GB update, it finished I launched, all good, I reinstalled OpenIV, and script hook V, with the ASI loader, (For some reason it went missing) Maybe I had a glitch or corruption somewhere that broke the mods folder, But I just installed a Vic, and tested and it works now. Ill go ahead again after I come home from where I am right now, and put the last of my vehicles back, then Visual V and the American sirens, I might resist from doing the Glock as that was the most recent mod I put in since the problem began. But I am looking forward to playing again with me vehicles, I can put up ish with the vanilla vehicles, but I cant stand that vanilla Wail, its like a scream of pain.
