What is wrong with games?

Featured Replies

This is one of my pet peeves that really bugs me currently. Gaming, or what is wrong with it?

I'll preface it by saying yes, I am a gamer, I play most games that come out, I'll give any game a fair shake, but its some aspects of it that really get to me.

First off, the whole GTAV hype and stupidity surrounding it. No, this is NOT a V topic, but I find the hype and lengths people go to pathetic, they figure anything must relate to GTA. Which, no, seeing a V on a clock doesn't relat

Secondly, game design in general, I got talking to a good friend who worked at Bioware during ME1/2, and kept an eye on ME3, they made the point that regardless of what you do in a game, it's still the same result, your choices don't matter period, you are in effect locked into what the designers want, even the open world isn't open

Thirdly, how games deal with sensitive issues, BioWare (again) got a lot of flak for one of their staff and their position on social issues (I forget which one), which IMO is stupid, then you have Activision bringing out CoD every year which, being blunt, brainwashes kids into thinking war is a game and they can sign up and do the same dumb crap they see in the games.

Yeah,I agree with you on the first point.I see people coming up with news everyday an GTA:V and I'm like,"Aw....tsk tsk tsk...Kids NEED to grow up." (Not to offend anybody),but this is pure craziness. Most of them are so immature...
