YOU DECIDE! Disturbance Callout!

Featured Replies

Hi everyone!

I need YOUR help to decide the conversations in my new disturbance callout!  Currently I have two scenarios (I'm hoping for at least 5)- Someone cheating, and someone making a mess in their house.

Basically, I need topics (and preferably a simple script) for other arguments you might find at a disturbance callouts.  Google and my brain have failed me so far, so hopefully you can help!

The way the callout currently works is you arrive on scene, then the two perps (Perp 1 & Perp 2 begin arguing [some audio is present, nothing related but hopefully it will help with the realism]).  Then, there is a chance for something to happen- one fights the other, runs, or nothing happens.  I want to be able to do that with each possibility, so please include that!

Example Format (Please put the script in a spoiler, I don't want half the thread to be the script):

Topic: Cheating Spouse

Spoiler

Script:

Perp 1: Put your words here.

Perp 2: Put your words here.

Perp 1: Put your words here.

Perp 2: Put your words here.

Perp 1: Put your words here.

Perp 2: Put your words here.

Random Events:

Perp 2: Attacks Perp 1.

Perp 1: Runs Away.

Perp 2: Dies of Heart Attack.

Hopefully some of you will answer!

Script: Pesky Neighbors

Perp 1: Officer, I this guy stole my new chainsaw.

Perp 2: Officer. He's dillusional, I've never stole anything in my life, I asked to borrow his chainsaw, but when he wouldn't let me I had to go out buy one.

Perp 1: Oh, and it just so happens to be the exact same chainsaw that went missing....

Perp 2: It's a good chainsaw, people are getting them left and right.

Perp 1: There's no way this is just coincidental , that's my chainsaw!

Perp 2: No it isn't, and Ive just about had enough of your calling me a liar.

Perp 1: And what are you gonna do about it?

Perp 2: Don't push me...

Perp 1:Do something!!

Random Events:

Perp 2: Draws a pistol.

Perp 1: Starts backing and away.

Perp 2: Another argument ensues.

I'll write another once I'm off work, but for now, I hope that helps.

I like the spouse idea but the mess one sounds a little lackluster tbo, not sure the police would care very much if you were making a mess in your own house unless it got to the point that fire codes were being broken. Perhaps instead of a mess there could be a different type of disturbance such as neighbors fighting over a lawnmower or having to investigate some sort of fire/burglar alarm and when you get on scene you have to determine if its legitimate and respond accordingly? That is something officers have to deal with on a daily basis - much more often then people being messy :) As for cheating that's something the police cant really help with either that's something that you would have to go to family court over, unless perhaps the police were responding because of a breach of a restraining order, someone wielding a weapon(which at that point wouldn't be cheating it would be assault), was acting suicidal or something along those lines.

Perhaps instead of a mess it could be a report of property damage? that something that police would be much more likely to respond to.

Script: Report of Property Damage

Caller : Hello officer, I called you guys because this person rammed their car rite into the side of my house! (or car/mailbox/whatever can be random)

Driver: Thank god your here officer. I was taking the turn back there and a dog ran rite out in front of me.

Driver: Instead of hitting the dog I swerved but I ended up hitting their house instead.

Caller: Do you have any idea how close he was to hitting all of us?!

Driver: I am so sorry. I did not mean to hit anything. Please forgive me it was an accident.

~Caller randomized choice: Caller can either opt to press charges or not.

Officer: Caller would you like to press charges?

Option1. Caller: I guess we all make mistakes sometimes, if he is willing to pay for the repairs I can forgive him. Nobody got injured after all.

Option 2. Caller: I would like to to press charges. This person is a danger to everybody on the road.

~Officer choice: Breathalyze/drug test driver. Run a check on his license, tow the car ect, call does not necessarily need to end with an arrest.

Random Events:

Caller Attacks Driver.

Driver Runs Away.

Caller is Injured.

Caller chases Driver in vehicle.

One of them at some point in the dialog pulls a weapon.

Thanks!  I like that one!  Maybe I can do some variations on what was stolen, too!

Well currently the "Disturbance" is an argument between two individuals in the street, blocking traffic.  So It's not like you respond to the mess, you're responding to an argument (which I'm looking for different topics of).  But I do like the fire/burglar alarm one, I might include that in it as well, if not in a future release.  The restraining order would be cool too, perhaps someone calls because they see the person that they have a restraining order against nearby and you have to find them and deal with them (perhaps they just give you a description).  Good ideas!

Spoiler

Script: Basic Domestic Disturbance

Perp 1: Officer, He/She got angry and hit me

Perp 2: He/She is lying

Perp 1: He/She has anger issues, got upset and hit me.

Perp 2: I cannot control myself when i'm angry. He/She deserved it.

Perp 1: I don't want to press charges. I love him/her too much!

OR

Perp 1: I want to press charges! I'm afraid for my safety!

Random Events:

Perp 2: Attacked officer or perp 1

Perp 2: Accepts the charges

Perp 2: Flees the scene attempting to escape police

That is a pretty common occurrence for police. Especially where I live.

Script: Dog going into neighbor's yard

Perp 1: Officer/Deputy, my neighbor's dog keeps coming into my yard through the hole in the fence and keeps making a mess. You gotta tell him to do something about it.

Perp 2: Well, what am I supposed to do? He's a dog, he doesn't know no boundaries.

Perp 1: Well, train your damn dog better! You ain't the one cleaning it up whenever he takes a fucking shit in my yard.

Perp 2: Hey, hey, instead of blaming the dog, why don't you fix that damn hole in your fence?

Perp 1: MY fence? Last time I checked, this fence is maintained by both of us! Your dog comes over and takes a dump one more time, and I'm grabbing my shotgun! You hear me?!

Perp 2: You what? You gonna shoot my dog? I'll teach you some goddamn basic manners! *punches neighbor* / Ok, ok! I'll fix the fence man!

Random Events:

Perp 2: shoves perp 1 onto the ground in anger

Perp 2: yields and agrees to fix the fence
