i installed this yesterday and got it working but when i hit J to turn on lights they don't come on. (the lights aren't even on the roof) then when i press it 3 times it comes on but the light glitch out on the roof appearing and dissapearing. don't know if that's and ELS issue.

You need ELS enabled cars for ELS to work, as it says in the ELS manual. 

omg noob mistake. thanks for reminding me. new to this stuff i give it a try

If you haven't already,  search for tutorial videos on Youtube.   It can makes things so much easier and you may learn how to install, configure other cool mods/scripts.
