Doing things in the station (downtown)

Featured Replies

Hello all! Columbo here.

I am just posting suggestions of things you can do in the station, I write reports down in a notebook on my desk while playing, (ridiculous I know xD) But its what immerses me, so I thought, well ill bring my officer back to the downtown LS station, then write the reports. So to make it look good in game, I went to the front desk at the station, and went into stealth mode, and switched to 1st person, as the head was lower down, it looked like my officer was sitting in front of the PCs on the desk, so I wrote my reports in my note book, because I'm such a nerd on this mod xD. And thought, hey wouldn't it be cool to actually do it in game? For the ones who want to of course. It would be fantastic, to sit at the PC and it gives you a prompt to use it, (like with the regular PC in GTA that takes you to the internet) It can be like the computer in the cruiser, and it takes you though a step by step, create a report on a crime. Of course only if the player wanted to. This then lead me to other things, doing desk duty, going to a certain place at the desk, it prompts you to hit a key, and boom your on desk duty, and people come in to give statements on crimes, or ask for help. And you choose the responses. Then simple things, making coffee from the machine, using printers, whiteboard, all of these can just be animation actions, like the drinking coffee action, it can add to great RP. I don't know if any of this is possible but wanted to put it out there, I know the 0.3 look at the downtown station looks very promising in their preview. But I think these ideas are great for people wanting a causal gameplay experience after being out on the field. Ill see what you guys think, sorry if this has been brought up, but this is my first topic, and haven't looked around all the areas of the forum yet.

Thank you! For a great mod!

The DEVs have stated that LSPDFR will not have "roleplay" functions integrated with it. It is not a roleplay immersion mod. That's up to the modding community to do themselves if that's what they want. Especially since a lot of us if not most of us don't care for total roleplay immersion, a lot of us just want to go around doing what we please to whom we please. That's what makes LSPDFR fun.

Yeah, i was stating my suggestions on the matter, and ill be very happy if somone did indeed take on this concept for players who do like that kind of stuff, and thats how they find LSPDFR fun, people enjoy it in different ways. I appreciate your feedback!

I'm sure someone along the lines will do something like this. Give it time.

(Sweet name and pic btw. Great show. :D)

Adding the ability to sit down in the station at the desk would be kinda cool...

What would be epic, Is the ability to add to the database of crimes the peds names we arrest to the public records and it'll show up if we pull them over again.....

I very much agree!

This would be pretty cool. It wouldn't be that difficult to do.

I'd do it, but probably not as much, since it could get repetative

I actually like that Idea.  Play LSPDFR long enough, say a month or so. Create a database of people you have run into with.  I would say maybe 100 or so,  then if you run into them again, say a drug dealer or a prostitute?  Then maybe you can just walk up to them and have a little chat.  Maybe they can become informers... damn I am becoming too immersed here lol
