ELS blinking textures instead of lights

Featured Replies

I have tried to install ELS v5 and v6 and they all give me the same result. White blinking textures I cant call it lights as there is no radiance. Can somebody please help?

If I don't install the visualsettings.dat included with ELS I see red and blue blinking textures. The visual difference between light on and of is the blinking or not blinking of the texture.

The pop up window where you can see/select what light mode you are running does appear, so the mod is installed.

Are you saying they don't pop out of the lightbar, like, realisticly, when they flash? If so, get the radiance mod, it will make them better, check gtapolicemods.

Did some more testing. There is no direct light source from the lights itself only a flashing white texture. It should be blue or red. There is a red reflection on buildings however but no blue reflection even when using a blue only lights car (Chevrolet Tahoe Z71 K9-unit)

You have to change the reflection in the ELS.ini and put both ELS files in the main directory.

Edit: Spelled out instead of put.

Yeah, modify the Visual Settings in your TBoGT Folder (TBOGT/common/data/visualsettings), not the original GTA IV Settings since TBoGT uses its own settings and not GTA IV's. Also, use the timecyc from the Radiance mod. After doing that, your problem should be fixed.

The radiance mod timecycle did the trick for the lights. and by editing the ini file the reflection on the surrounding are now the correct color. Thanks for all the help.
