John Bain (TotalBiscuit) Reporting Cancer Again

Featured Replies

According to a widely known Youtuber and gamer, John Bain, known as TotalBiscuit, he is unfortunately receiving cancer once again, this time in his kidney.

Well, I don't know if there is really a right way to tell people this, so I guess here goes. The CT did not come back negative. The cancer in the bowel is gone, but spots have appeared in my liver. They're not operable and there's no cure. Average life expectancy is 2-3 years, though there are outliers that live much longer. I'll be back on chemo in a few weeks, with the goal of pushing it back and keeping it there for as long as possible. I fully intend to be the outlier, the average is this way because most people that get this are old and not strong anymore. Who knows what they'll come up with in the next decade? I intend to beat it for as long as possible. Gonna need some time to process all of this. I don't really feel anything right now. Thanks.

He was reported to have a cancer mass growing in his bowel, over a year ago. The mass was removed and considered "near-cured", until today (October 15).

This is saddening news for many within the PC and gaming community. I think the best we can do is hope and pray for him, and for any others with life-threatening diseases. Personally, I hope he can recover from this once again.

That's terrible news, I didn't even know he already fought cancer once... While his situation sounds very serious, I'm happy to hear that he wants to fight it as long as possible. I hope we'll get to hear him review games for many more years.

This upsets me quite a bit. As someone that watches him almost religiously, this is very saddening news. I almost can't imagine the world of gaming without him. It's going to be a huge loss for the gaming community and cinsurers as a whole.

Yeah, it is quite saddening. It would be great for him to get through it, but we've still got several years until we know if he's recovered from it or not.
