Vehicle in Sheriff Slot, No Sirens/Default car horn

Featured Replies

Woo, the first problem I've ever had with GTA 5. Quite different from 4.

So, I have a custom model in the sheriff/sheriff_hi slot. When I go into GTA, the vehicle itself has lights that work, etc, but the siren doesnt work when I press E, and when I hold E it just has the default sedan horn (NOT the default police one)instead of the police one. This only happens with this slot. It doesn't matter what vehicle model I put in there. I think it has to do with a .meta file. It's like the game doesnt register it's a police car, but the lights work.

Can anyone help me out?

Probably something related to the vehicle.meta file, I'd say. I guess you're using a modified one?

I believe so. I tried to google the location of the file, but couldn't find much. I can post it to a pastebin if you let me know the location?

Check the vehicles.meta in the update folder. Find the lines for "sheriff" and look for a tab called <audioNameHash />

Change that line to read "<audioNameHash>police</audioNameHash>"

(without the quotes)
