Hi everyone, I'm just going to cut to the point on what happened.

Yesterday I downloaded an unmarked CVPI from . After doing so I launched my game after putting the car I wanted in, there was nothing wrong with the vehicle it was perfect, but after getting off GTA IV and going to play some agar.io. Ads were everywhere, everytime I clicked something would pop up, and in the bottom left corner I could see sites loading in that weren't normally there. Even when I typed in a site, another would pop up. So my question is, is a virus? Has anyone ever had this issue. Fortunately I got rid of all the ads and viruses.

It won't let me put the website, my bad just noticed that. It was suppose to be G T A A L L. I'v never downloaded from there except that one time.

is a website which uploads vehicle modifications stolen from the original authors. That's why the linking to the site is not allowed. It'd be best to stay off that site.

That's another site and should be addressed there. It isn't their fault if you took a risk and downloaded a CVPI from an author(not them) there and got infected. The best you can do is contact your authorities and or the website owners and discuss the issue.

What you have done is downloaded a model from their site, and somehow they've put adware into your computer. I'd remove that mod immediately just incase it infects your computer again. Only downloaded from trusted sources, not from sites like that as they do contain stolen mods and are filled with adware.

Viruses aren't legal; not really sure about all local laws in the US but most likely spreading viruses isn't going to be something that is tolerated. Not sure about other countries, though.

Yes, although unless the original authors put a DMCA takedown request nothing can be done with that site.

considering it's adware, it's not really something law enforcement spend time on, they're mainly concerned with the viruses that hack your computer and steal data like ransomware. adware just creates revenue, that's all it does so technically it's not a virus. that's the difference between malware and adware.
