Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR!

Please do the following:

  • Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks or people using pirated software
  • Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - These patches are needed.
  • Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
  • Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
  • Ensure that AdvancedHook.dll, ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
  • Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder.
  • Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation.
  • Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.
  • Install these: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 , https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679

In some cases, your issue is resolved after following the above steps. If it did help, please let everyone know in the topic that your issue is resolved. If you do have to post a topic, do the following;

  • Give a clear, detailed description of the problem.
  • Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem.
  • State what solutions you have tried.
  • Post ALL relevant logs (LCPDFR.log, Scripthook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log, AdvancedHook.log).
  • Include as much information as possible.
  • Post your system specifications.
  • Post what other mods you are using. This includes car and script mods.
  • Post a screenshot of your GTA IV or EFLC game directory.

Please note that failure to follow these instructions may cause this thread to be closed.

Thank you for the reply, please hold on as i try the methods.

Thank you for waiting while i tested. Unfortunately the methods listed did NOT work, even did the manual install.

Any other ways to fix?

Thank you for waiting. NON of the methods worked. The LCPDFR mod will still NOT activate. Is there any other methods into fixing this?

.Net is not compatible with Windows 10, and will NOT install, even in a Comparability Mode of Windows 8 or early. I have got everything else done, read me - disabled and to sub-folders. Im on GTA 4 10.0.7.0, I am using a legal copy of GTA 4. Yes im running admin. I got all Dll's and im using xlive not dsound. LCPDRF folder is there and spelt correctly, I did use manual install, and i only have this mod, with Native Trainer to "ldisable key"

if you've installed it manually then there is a good chance you've installed a file wrong. download and install LCPDFR 1.1 automatic installer and try that.

You'll need to post a screenshot of your root directory. Please read the instructions.

That was the very first thing I did, you guys have an automatic installer, and i took advantage of it, and used the automatic installer first, would it really help?

By root directory you mean, for where GTA 4 is installed? And where can I find these instructions

Yes your root directory is where all your GTA is installed. and by instructions ineseri means the instructions in my first comment (a screenshot is required)

We only needed the GTA IV directory, not screenshot of the process =P

Can you also provide a screenshot for files past the GTAIV.exe.cdf file? knowing the rest of the files would be helpful :D

Ohh, most other forums say get the whole thing, so they know GTA 4 was installed correctly. If the game was not installed correctly I would not be able to play it.

Here is GTA4.exe.cdf

The contents of "LCPD First Response" should be in the root directory, iirc.

  • Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder

I can't see it, so something is wrong there.

LCPD First Response (or I typed LCPDFR folder) is there, sorry if I confused

And CouthInk4, thanks for giving LCPDFR v 1.1 download, ***The link to the download is not working through the website, I cant get the download link by going to downloads, the GTA IV, then the LCPDFR***

You don't drag and drop the entire LCPD First Response folder, you open it up, highlight all the contents and put them into your GTA directory so they're out of the LCPD First Response folder. This is why i recommend the automatic installer.. it doesn't mess up.

Also, i wanted a screenshot of what's past/below that file.. not of that file itself =)

No, I did NOT rename ANY folders. Sorry for doing THIS, just emphasising

As I suspected - You didn't read the instructions provided;

I don't mean to sound mean, but read the provided manual and instructions. It's all there.
