How to work around automatic cache verification?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

So I'm having an issue where any mods i install that require using openIV, after I've installed them and go to launch the game, the launcher immediately goes to verifying the integrity of the game cache and the mods then do not show up in game after it loads. I'm pretty sure this means the launcher detected a change in the game files and redownloads and replaces said altered files. So my question is, can I disable this or am I missing something?

Note: This is on Win7 with a rockstar copy of GTA V, not the steam version.

Use the mods folder for OpenIV (more info on their website)

Tried this but since i set up the mods folder (used a simple mod to change a handling.meta file), the game crashes before making it out of the launcher
